3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 OlJuntan64 (1266) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 17, 2002
Hazy yellow with large (2-3mm) yeasty bits with fine foamy long alsting white head. Some gueuze like tarty (raw pineapple) sour, sweet apple and fruity hops aroma. Medium-thin spritzigy like body. Cider and yeasty flavoured start. Hoppy bitter middle and medium sweet bitter refreshing finish. Hides alcohol well - different and quite interesting - worth trying if you can get it. 2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 crdic (105) - California, USA - JUN 15, 2002
A fairly generic Belgian ale with a sour citrus quality. Not really to my taste, and overly carbonated.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MrDick (323) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 11, 2002
Light and fruity - just like my exgirlfriend - for a 8.5%. This ale has less bitterness than the Piraat. Sip slowly and enjoy this ale in your lazyboy on the porch.

You will be surprised to hear that the beer has 8 % alcohol. You can’t taste it. A very characteristic Belgian beer.

Malt, yeast, citrus smell (O Boy) Nice amber shade, enormous head, loads of carbonation. Strong malt, lots of alcohol, rye bread taste. Terrific mouthfeel. Good tongue tingle. Quite a Beer!
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 jaymobrown (1457) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 8, 2002
A smooth beer with a good kick to it. Heavily carbonated with a light color. Good aroma. Tasted bitter, with a little hint of fruit and rubberbands.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 maxhits (172) - Pico Rivera, California, USA - MAR 20, 2002
Will produce a huge pillow of white foam with a meringue stiffness. It is best to pour this one a little gently. Because secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, there is a relatively high amount of carbonation in the beer. Although this is a big beer, weighing in at 8% ABV, I found the flavor to be pretty light. The nose was fruity (sweet) and spicy. The palate was malty, loaded with butterscotch, peach and honey flavors.

Very nice, smooth average belgian ale. Nice head, with an almost sweet aroma.

very fruity beer...this would be a good, (albeit dangerous) session brew...good stuff

Golden coloured. Aromatic fruity aroma - smells like ripe peaches. Sweet, vanillaish and medium bodied, but dangerously drinkable. Not much bitterness, so the finish is more like a fruit salad.
