3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
4 year old bottle I poured this into a snifter-type glass, not quite a Trappist style. It originally poured out straw colored like a Duvel, then turned yellowish-brown as sediment swirled in. The foamy head almost boils away. It's got a big Belgian smell and taste of oranges, coriander, candi sugar and honey. First beer I tasted that reminded me of honey, after dozens of “honey weisses.” Rather pleasant to sip while relaxing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Clear gold pour with nice rocky white head. Aroma of spicy belgian yeast, very fruity, tons of esters, banana, clove, pear. Taste is sweet, fruity with lots of boozy flavors, hops are pretty much absent. Palate has abundant carbonation, medium body, semi-sweet finish. OK.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dorée-ambrée trouble, effervescence forte col blanc aérien. Principalement maltée avec quelques notes de fruits et d’épices (poivre, notamment), u rien métallique, un peu trop gazeuse. Une bière d’abbaye somme tout classique...

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 0,75L. Pale orange colour with compact, off-white head. Aroma of yeasts, fruits like banana and apple, some vanilla, citruses and spices. A lot of carbonation makes it a bit sharp and peppery, but in aftertaste it count down and become a moderate bitter, long lasting smooth and oily. At the end the alcohol content warms up a little. Not typical Belgian beer, but still very good.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: yeast filled orange, amber body with a volatile, beige head. Aroma is very Belgian-esque with notes of sharp breaded yeast, orange zest, mild apple fruit skins, light peppery spices, & mild coriander. Slight phenolic, alcoholic undertone. Taste is full of bread, lightly toasted malt, pear & apple-like ester notes, mild chalky & phenolic tones, a touch of grass, & a strong, yeast finish with coriander, clove, & some white pepper. Overall, a decent Belgian ale, but not much to set it apart from the various others.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
75cl bottle. Big white head on a clear and a bit cloudy, golden/copper liquid.
NOSE : yeast, bread, citrus zest, hay, clove, pepper.
SIP : strong carbonation even after brutally pouring it to the glass. Medium body. Sweet grainy beginning. Yeast and citrus notes play strong. They develop a bit acidic and spicy middle. Further on the beer is still a bit acid in the back, in front I start to taste bitter notes of hop. A bit metallic and crispy. Aftertaste is delicate metallic and clove.
OVERALL : I don’t enjoy the carbonation being that strong. Overwhelming and makes it difficult to drink. Apart that the beer is nothing exciting but more of a regular blond. Next time I will be choosing another one since it’s quite easy to find a better blond out there.
