330ml bottle. Pours reddish-brown with fluffy beige head. Roasted malt and mild fruit aroma. Has some light toffee-caramel sweetness. Bigger bodied, strong and with some bite to the finish.

(Bottle, Cambrinus, Brugge, 23 Oct 2014) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of caramel, dark fruit and dark bread. Malty, slightly roasted taste with dark fruit, caramel, roasted nuts, a touch of chocolate and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Bottle @ home. Pours deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, fruitiness, brown sugar and red apples. Flavor is sweet and malty with some caramel, apple peel, spices and yeast. Medium body, average carbonation.

A dark reddish brown coloured beer with a frothy off white head. A potent alcohol aroma, with a rich fruity and malty aroma. Medium mouthfeel. A slightly sweet, malt flavour to start, then a sharp sourness brings a tart fruitiness forward, leaving a mouth-puckering flavour that lasts well into the finish.

Bottle. Typical double pour. Aroma is boozy (!), spirit (vodka, whiskey). Faint hint of burnt grains, chocolate and prunes. Not really my thing. Taste is completely different though. Nice and mellow double: coffee, mocha, chocolate, creamy. Little sour, some hints of burnt grains. Coffee candy aftertaste.

Pours dark & fizzy with a thin slice of foam above the darkness. First few sips are pure grape soda pop madness. Give the beer a few minutes to settle (& read some of the reviews below for a confused laugh) & retry to find the grape soda essence has settled into surgery raisins, cinnamon toast & a crisp finish. Still a little too sugary than it could be but pretty fine to sip on Monday after work.

Brown with medium yellow creamy head. A bit watery sweet taste with some sourness and remarkable roasted caramel followed by quite strong remaining bitterness.

Cola colour with 1 finger beige head. Aromas of dark fruits, hazelnut, molasses. Taste is very sweet - toffee, raisins, dates, cherries and a very light astringency. Med-full bodied. Pretty good but a bit overly sweet.

Cloudy brown body with effervescent thin head, effervescence extremely present on the body as well. Smells of plum, very subtle chocolate, resiny, a little roasty and it is also earthy, Alcohol on the finish, surprisingly thin-bodied with less carbonation that expected by the appearance.
