Bottle 330ml.
Clear medium to dark amber color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting,liget beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, overriped fruit, moderate yeasty, dried fruit, wreaths cake, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091122]

Bottled. A red-brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, and dried fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of dried fruits, caramel, malt, and bread, as well as a light touch of coriander, leading to a nutty finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Clear deep amber with a frothy and lacing off-white head. Sweet aroma of overripe fruits and burned caramel. Medium body, roasted malts, overripe, dried fruits, lots of yeast, phenols and odd esters. Very rough and unrefined - your typical Van Steenberge. Rough finish. 221109

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small white to tan head. Aroma is phenolic, light fruity and with a light roasted malt note. Sweet caramelish and fruity phenolic/yeasty flavoured. Light metallic note. Ends lingering fruity and light caramel malty.

Bottled (from beerplanet.eu). Brown colour with a beigeish brown head. Aroma is raisins, sweet malts, some mild burnt sugar as well as mild yeastyness. Flavour is being quite much the same along with some nutty and mild chocolateish notes. Shows some slight alcoholic sweetness, but it also gives some ryelike notes.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Lightly hazy mahogany colour, brief head. Soap and melon. Lightly roasty with notes of blueberry jam. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Low bitterness,. Not very intense.

Dark brown color; compact head, generous, persistent. Caramel but also metallic, lean body, light liquorice.

Dark brown color, almost black; generous head, but not steady, fizzy pour. Mild aroma, caramel, but also a fruity vein. Caramel flavor with roasted malt tones, candi sugar, light residual sweetness. The final is a bit drier. Easy.

Clear dark amber with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and overripe fruits. Sweet flavour with overripe fruits, roasted malt and caramel notes. Finished sweet.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2009 Bottle @ Skjold Burne, Odense. Pours dark brown with a creamy lasting white head and lacings. Nose is yeast, nuts, rubber and caramel. Smooth and full bodied. Taste is yeast, caramel, fruit and a bit of metallic notes. Light warmth from alcohol. Pleasant

(33cl bottle) Pours a clear copper body with a medium frothy cream head. Aroma of mustiness, raisins, toasted grain, brown sugar, and yeast. Flavor of Belgian yeast, raisins, caramel, subtle coriander, and brown sugar.
