Gold straw colour, clean prior to the pour of the tiny bit of sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Good sized foamy white cap, really good retention and messy lacing. The aroma is soft. Ciabatta bread, fairly thick, odd fruit, soggy warm corn flakes. Iíve noticed alcohol in the taste right off the bat. Light apple, lots of alcohol, more apple, bit of feet, mild spice that canít quite hide the alcohol.. ainít that bad though. Smooth slightly oily mouth feel, finishes booooooooring.

Cirrhosis (1283) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 4, 2010
Clear champagne looking with tons of bubbles floating to surface, a tall fluffy white cap sits on top. Soft smelling malts with mild spice, along with some wet freshly cut wood. Taste is very similar to the aroma but add sour in the finish with some ginger. Apple and wheat start to show up when beer got warm the beer also got thicker when that happened. Not bad I guess drinkable but completely average and forgettable.

0,33 l bottle.
Poured hazy pale yellow with a fine foamy-creamy white head that diminshes slowly with a delicious lace on the glass. Pale malt based, spicey aroma of coriander, minimal floral hop, some sourish fruity perfume of apple, honey. Fine belgian yeasts in the nose too, the coriander dominates the aroma. Medium bodied one with a fruity-spicey character on the palate, well hidden alcohol. Not a sweet one, the coriander leads the flavor. Some vanilla and honey powered the beers body. Fine one.

Bottle. Pours a golden body with an off white head. Bread y citrus, some spicy wheat like notes. A hoppy earth y dust tone with some light citrus and some lemon hints. A strong fruit warming amongst a herbal hoppiness. Decent ale.

I first tasted this beer on Christmas day, when I received it as part of a subscription gift box. When poured you get a clear golden colour with a white, foamy head. Aroma was not as sharp as I expected but there is definitely a hint of liquorice to the nose. The taste is sweet and here you do get the liquorice as well as an alcohol taste. Not unpleasant but not what I expected. The 9% does not really shine through, but all in all a pleasant change. Worth a try if you get the opportunity.

Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Pours a darkish red/brown. Aromas of spice, coriander, yeast, and alcohol. Flavor has an alcohol taste to it, mixed with a nice smokey dark fruit. Also has strong hints of spice and orange.

Draught @ Brouwerís Cafť:   Bright straw, lively carbonation, thin to moderate white frothy head, spotty lacing.   This sure is a light Grand Cru.   Smells like a damn pear, not the skin but the white bits.   This has very little to do with a Grand Cru.   Feels more like a Tripel crossed with a Blonde.   Hmmm, still tasty just not what I was expecting.   Wow, yeah, this one is really fruity with a heavy emphasis on Pear.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean, fruity, and sweet on the finish.   Totally not what I would have expected.   Blonde + Triple does not uqual a Grand Cru.   Enjoyed it tho.

Bottle 33cl. Pours a clear amber/golden colour with normal size head and little carbonation. The smell to this is not very appealing to say the least.... I had to force myself to finish it, the taste is okay, but the smell doesnít really sell itself.

An interesting beer. Much like a poor equivilant to Duvel. A very odd aroma and a sharp bitter maybe sour taste of caramel and raisins. However a very odd taste. Itís not a great beer at all iím afraid. Really let down by tis despite the wonderful picture. It looks amazing but tastes off. I donít think Iíd be buying this in a hurry. I feel let down.

Pours a clear golden color with a white, foamy head. Aroma is a bit sharp and of grains, yeast, licorice and a bit of alcohol. Taste is sweet and a bit bitter and of licorice, but has a sharp and unpleasant alcohol presence. Decent bitter lingering finish. Well carbonated.
