3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle. Cloudy yellow/orange with a big head.
NOSE : spicy herbal and pepper aromas. Hay, bread with sugar, citrus zest.
SIP : creamy texture with strong carbonation. Medium body. Flavors of grains and bread like are developing dominating sweetness. Not overwhelming though. It gets attenuated by citrus and spices dry and bitter notes. The end is getting a bit herbal and peppery even more. A bit sour too. Esters develop strong citrus peel like flavor.
OVERALL : there is nothing revolutionary about it. Itís still a decent Belgian strong pale ale. But among so many other like that I donít find anything to convince me to buy it again.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. Golden in color with a foamy head. Burnt rubber and old leather in aroma. Weird. Later on some sweeter aspects appears. Taste is however a lot better with some sweetish and overripe fruity notes, even light boozyness is present. But still the aroma here is a bit disturbing.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
hmm.. this one seems quite thin, but in same time nicely balanced. Lemon, yeast and spices dominates. OK malty. Quite sweet with some notes of sour and bitter

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A classical tripel, a fine beer as all beer made in Belgium, but nothing special to flash above.
Cap collectors: the cap is similar to the label, and read "Augustjin Grand Cru"

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy full gold with a lasting bubbly/rocky head. Nose is sweet and fruity and estery with notes of bready yeast and apricot and grape and apple with an earthy sort of herbal note. Flavor is very estery with a large tropical/dusty bright fruity tone, lots of complex yeast flavors with a lot of peach/pear/grape flavors and a backing malt sweetness that finishes a little dusty yet sweet apricoty. Slight bitterness throughout. Quite sexy.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle->Trappist. Hazy pale gold with huge frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, with yeast, citrus, and dark fruit. Very good. Palate: velvety front followed by crisp carbonation. Taste is Belgian yeast, bright citrus and spices. Aroma far outshines the taste.
