Full body - staying head - amber color with a spicy, malty palate that finishes very fruity with complex hoppy undertones.

2015 update: according to the brewer’s website, this is the same beer as St. Stefanus Grand Cru.

Ambar clara, algo turbia y muy burbujeante. 1-2 dos de espuma poco densa. En boca es muy efervescente. Excesivamente.

Hmmm, this is a complex beer. Its thick, hoppy and spicy, but also fruity and yeasty. Def a grand cru!

1700th rating on this website won’t be a big want... This one I had for personal reasons. Very decent brew, but I do like most of Van Steenberge brews. Nothing exceptionnal, but mostly decent to good.

Bottle at home. Yellow-orange, very big white head, to big. Smell, sharp aroma with lots of lemon and some spice. Spices, apple in the taste, pretty good aftertaste with a bitter-sweet touch. To sad the aftertaste seems better then the first nip. Also to easy drinkable for 9%. Not a bad beer, but it misses something extra.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep golden body with a massive cloudy off-white head. Nose is red fruits, light candi sugar, caramel, pale malts and hints of straw, bread and biscuits. Taste is light candi sugar, prunes, caramel, bread dough and hints of banana, straw, grass and mild white pepper. Medium to full body, high carbonation. Decent BSA without ever making a lasting expression.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a light orange look and a collapsing white head. Very dry brett aroma. Flavour is light lemon/citrus flavoured - fresh and sweet. Sweet light caramel malt and light hoppy with a mellow Belgian yeast note into the finish. Nice.
