Floral, ester filled spicy aroma. Carbonation tornado in a Chimay glass, otherwise standard yellow color. Overall sweet flavor - bananas and hints of white pepper. Not sugary or cloying however. Zesty and fizzy body, light to medium weight. A well executed Belgian blond, though it’s been done elsewhere with more intensity.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with big head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of rubber, ginger, toasted malts, and light lemons. Flavors of banana chips, resin, spice, earth, and rubber. Sharp and unique but the rubber notes are a major negative.

(tasted side by site with augustijn blond) pours almost clear bright yellow with a frothy and creamy white head, very good retention and lacing. chewy and doughy honeyed malts, bready, floral, spicy and yeasty - ginger and honey. a tad too sweet and boozy. bright carbonation, medium body - oily, very nice grassy-spicy finish. from my standpoint, we’re not far from a triple. whatever.. quite nice brew, but slightly inferior than grand cru.

In this beer hop plays the lead role. Aroma and taste carries the signature of hop. Floral and not to bitter.

From stubby bottle into Chimay goblet, 330ml. Pours a cloudy wheaty yellow, with a light ring of foam that dissipates rather quickly. Some fine sediment. Pleasant floral aroma. Fruity, herbal flavour with a hint of a sour ale? but not unpleasant to the palate. Deceiving in regards to its listed alcohol punch.

Pours cloudy white wine-y yellow with high carbonation with diminishing wire bubbly head. Aroma is of bread hops; grains. Tart start, stingy. high carbonation into yeast. Background of grapes? Pretty ok definitely doesn’t taste like 9%.

This pours medium hazy gold with thick long lasting head, lotsa lacing. Has a lovely floral aroma. Creamy. Citrus flavors and similar to the blond 7.5% lots more alcohol flavor. Champaign like quality. Still not as good as Duvel. Surprisingly easy drinking considering the alcohol content.
