Bobsy (196), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 3, 2007 Updated: Nov 5, 2007 Bottle conditioned and courtesy of the LCBO. Murky golden pour with a nice white head. Almost looks like a wheat beer. Smells of blackcurrant. Nice. Fruity flavour, with a nice dose of spice. Nice level of carbonation tingles the palate. I could come back to this one again and again.

Very good
EHopper (171), Minnesota, USA Oct 27, 2008 Bought as part of a variety pack. Wonderful whipped egg white foam head that lasts. Fainter, but definite aroma of a hog barn - decomposing hay, grain, other more sour notes - and green fruit (actually quite pleasant). Flavor a nice match. I actually can’t pull out too many particular flavors, just a nice beer taste. cking (756), North Canton, Ohio, USA Oct 27, 2008 Sharp, musty aroma that is offset by a healthy dose of sugar and honey. Hazy golden-orange body with a large rocky head and thick lacing. Bubbly and filling, strongly carbonated followed by a stinging aftertaste and a hint of cardboard. Candi sugar, Belgian yeast, bread dough, and grassy flavors are somewhat balanced by a green hop presence. Solid strong ale, bordering on a Tripel or vise versa I suppose, who really knows. RollinHard (547), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Oct 24, 2008 Pours gold with a light haze to it, good sized rocky white head that sticks around. Aroma is faint at first, but opens up at warmer temperatures showing some grape, honey, grass, lime, and light coriander. Similar to an un-sweet riesling. Taste is a bit earthier, with some hay and grass up front but the nice grape and lime characters are still there. Finishes with the grassy spicy bitterness, but it fades out to a toasty lime and grain flavor. Light bodied for the style and well-carbonated. Pretty good, and certainly one of the easiest tripels to drink, but it might be a little light on flavor. mjs (613), Helsinki, Finland Oct 24, 2008 (Draught at Kaisla, Helsinki, on 2008-10-24) Golden. Hazy. Medium sized white quickly disappearing head. Fruity, yeasty and bit hoppy nose with sweet notes. Medium bodied palate with lot of carbonation. Fruitiness, yeast, hoppiness, bitterness and hint of pine in taste. Fruity and bitter aftertaste.
