Didn’t take tasting notes. Just wrote down the score so I’m typing just enough words.

Clear dark amber color with lingering off white head. Really nice aroma of figs and strawberry. Taste is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Dry finish. Full body with residual sugar left on the lips. Good carbonation. Solid dunkel in my opinion.

Draught at Goldene Kugel, Salzburg.
Deep copper, clear body, with a big, fluffy, rocky, beige head.
Aroma of caramel, bread, dark fruits, some toast.
Tastes of toast, bread, caramel, dark berries, grains, some hops.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes toasty, bready, a bit bitter, hoppy, a bit fruity.

Nice one. A quaffable, not too sweet Dunkel, with nice toasty notes. Nothing special overall, but one of the better beers from this brewery.

On a trip to Munich, to enjoy a good beer in a local original is an experience. Beer, good, very aroma. Although it is not my style too much and a good experience.

Pours a crystal clear, nut-brown colored beer, with a decent, foamy eggshell head. Smells of toffee malts and whole grain bread, together with a caramel note and a pleasant earthy whiff. Drinks very smooth, while offering a medium carbonation, which balances the profound malts with a mineralic quality during the ending. Tastes of soft, rustic whole grain bread, together with a bakers chocolate earth note, from which sweet molasses evolve. Molasses become more intense and dominating, developing a candied caramel character. Finishes earthier, more balanced than during the middle part, while the beer remains it sweet profile in general. Quite sweet, while not providing a lot of depth, other from its distinct maltiness.

Tap at the Schranke in Nuremberg. Medium brown with pretty orange tints, tall, pillowy head. Caramel, brown sugar nose, bit of raisin. Full, complex flavor, sweet brown sugar and caramel, earth, hay. Something slightly burnt as well. Too sweet overall to drink a lot. Decent, but cannot match their heller biers.
