2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear dark brown colour with low head and thin body. Nose of wood and malt. Taste of light smoke, wood, metall, barley and sour milk. Not that easy to drink but no bad beer at all. Little bit too dull and barnyard-like.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12/12 A 0.5 l bottle from Ivana trgovina, Split. It poured clear copper body with medium sized brown head. Caramel and toffee aroma with some bread and ripe fruit. Flavor was much simpler and weaker, slightly sweet, grainy and brown sugar malty, more bitter towards its shorter, papery finish. Thin bodied, watery texture. Quite a disappointment, even before I’ve seen such a high ratings here. Simple at average dunkel, at most.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I can finally see some light at the end oh the Dunkelheit. Pleasant beer. No matter how bad it looks, I like it. Aromas and flavours of sweet malts, caramels, very well balanced with hops, a certain grapefruit touch. A Dunkel to be thoroughly enjoyed, on its own or with a spectacular Bavarian dish of crusty pork.
