Bottled (from beerangel.de). Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, some wood, mild roasted notes as well as some slight wooden sourness too. Elements are there but really makes a bad combination imho. Flavour is quite much the same with big time licorice coming through. Quite refreshing still. Nice palate, a bit sticky and quite dry, but yet biting carbonation and quite crisp and fresh.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear dark nut brown, rich firm head. Sweet and rather light bodied. Lightly roasty with vague soapy mouthfeel . Dryish finis with low bitterness. Going for blance, but ends upbeing well light. The malt character compares infavourably with it’s cousins from Franconia, and it feels less alive.
