Draft at Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt, Berlin. Pours clear brown with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, light overripe fruits and a little nuttiness. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

11.05.2014. On tap at Augustiner Bierhalle, Munchen. Brown colour with off-white head. Dominated by malt. Very little hops. Kind of sweet with some notes of sourness. At the end there is a subtile good bitterness. Good beer

Brownish colored with ruby hue, low to medium pale tan creamy head, not very long lasting. Aroma is of caramel, Munich malt, a bit of toast, bready yeasty, and maybe a pinch of mold. Taste is moderate sweet caramel munich malt, roasted-toasted bread, quite bready finish. Medium bodied and low to medium carbonation. Although I’ve tried some acidy bottles this is probably my favorite Dunkel so far alongside Ayinger and Bonifatius.

Dark oily brown colour with almost no head. Aroma and flavours of roasted malts, barley, caramal etc. Low carbonation, full body, sweet finsh, well balanced hoppiness. Drinkable.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear dark brown color with medium creamy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, nuts, chocolate and grassy hops. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt and caramel, follows by bready and fruity acidity, dry mouthfeel and light bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Excellent dunkel...

lots of caramel, something burnt in the back, full fizzy carbs, some licorice?

Fruits rouges-noirs. Fin assez sucrée.
