12 ounce bottle, totally different bottle with gold foil. A nice presentation. 5.7%. Pours a clear golden color with a large white head. A sweet nose of honey and biscuit. A really nice balanced flavor, loads of earth, sweet malts, some crisp flavors, clean and tasty. Good.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2013 Just THE Lager Beer.
An example of the old munich tradition in beer brewery, with Augustiner being the oldest one. You see it, with it’s golden color with the lively carbonation and the white foam.
You smell it, clearly a smooth beer aroma, a bit sweet from the malt, a bit harsh from the hops.
You taste it, best balance with malt and hops, like you guessed from the start and even better, from the first sip to the last, even after a few beers - but then you will feel that’s a bit stronger with it’s alcohol.
A bit stronger for Lager, but for an Export normal with it’s 5,6% alc. and yet so easy and lovely to drink. Could never get enough of it. If you find it somewhere out of Munich, take one, you’ll find it hard ’cause they’re not maximaze any further the production to have always the best quality and so it get’s very rare outside of it’s brewery place.
I did read the rules of reviewing and "an all 5" can be just rare and it can’t improve anymore, so for me, it’s a five. In my opinion, it’s what it says: an Export (german) Lager beer called "Edelstoff" (noble material).

Pale yellow, clear, thin white head; aroma of malt, hay, grass, bread; first noticeable thing about the flavour is the same lemony character as their helles; this is really sweet, almost sugary; some hops, but sweet malts reign in the finish too; I can imagine this being a good slaker after a long summertime country walk; think I prefer the lightness of the helles though.

Not different from the lagerbier.
A light golden beer with a white vanishing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and some notes of hops. The flavor is light, quite waterish. Not my beer.

Nicew bready smell this is very clear and beautiful to the eye. Sparkling very pale yellow. Small head. Mouthfeel takes time. When it copmes it is fullish with malt followed by some fat before the bitterness which isn’t intense but lingering which is long and sappy. Nice floral quality too. hugely enjoyable.

Same issues as the previous beer. Sorry. No, you didn’t have any Left Hand. Not unless you’ve been to another American beer tasting evening aside from the one I was at.
