A good clean tasting dortmunder. Perfectly suited to its style it doesn’t show a great bouquet of aromas and of flavours as well. Maybe I like the bottle’s etiquette more than its content.

Bottle from a random shop in Berlin. BB 11.2016. Pours very pale clear yellow. Bubbles from the bottom. Foam good, off-white, laces. On the nose it’s subtly floral, papery (in a rather positive way), doughy, slightly citric even. Tastes malty sweet with considerable yet very mellow hoppiness. Soft on the palate, rather enjoyable, carbonation mellow, body lightish medium. Nice brew, can’t complain. Does lose its appeal when warm though...

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2016 Light gold with a stable medium white head. Aroma of hay, grass, herbs, notes of white bread and butter. Taste is lightly sweet, salty notes coming through. Light, slick body with lively carbonation and a nice, slightly bitter and salty finish. It’s not too light, doesn’t taste too strong, but it’s pleasant and refreshing. One of my favourite lagers if there’s nothing else available. I actually prefer it over most big Austrian Märzen/Lagers, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it.

A perfectly fine light lager while enjoying a prosciutto and parmesan sandwich in the mother land. And the salami, and speck, and coppa.... What were we talking about again? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
