A nice clean beer. Pours yellow with a light lace around the glass. Aroma is light European hoppiness. Taste is clean, some slight hoppiness and malt. Good carbonation. Nice mouth feel. Aftertaste is pleasant as well!

Draught at the Munich beer house. Clear bright gold with a dense white head. Bready aroma, clean crisp slightly sweet flavour. Sparkling carbonation, medium bodied, refreshing and tasty. Pretty much what I hoped for, and the wife liked it too.

A really nice drinkable beer. Pours blond with good head and lacing. Great crisp Bradley aroma. Light German hops, everything well balanced. Almost a light skunkiness reminiscent of green bottle beers. Bottle from Chevy chase.

Bottle 0.5L. Clear pale yellow body with a large, frothy, white head, mostly lasting with some lacing; low density of medium-sized bubbles. Moderate hoppy (herbal) and light malty (grains) aroma. Well balanced moderate sweet and light-to-moderate bitter flavour. Light-to-medium body with watery texture; average carbonation.

From 0,5l bottle. BBD: 10.14 Pours clear pale light yellow liquid, after a while no head at all!, almost no aroma, very very light malty and tar, Taste: light sweet, light bitter, light to medium sour, extremely low intensity, watery, hopy. Palate: light watery body, slick texture, average carbonation, abrupt hopy finish. Overall: crap light lager, no head, no aroma, no taste.

Clean, crisp and light. Light yellow with white head, light body but not watery and right for the style. Grass, malt and slight sweetness. So is a German Helles really much better than a Carling or a Fosters? Yes, I think it is; there is more (but not much) on the nose, a better mouthfeel, and it leaves a pleasant, if not strong, aftertaste. So, for those hot summer days when you want something cold, refreshing and not too challenging, this sort of beer fits the bill much better than the high volume macro rubbish. Take note, barbecue hosts everywhere...
