A really nice drinkable beer. Pours blond with good head and lacing. Great crisp Bradley aroma. Light German hops, everything well balanced. Almost a light skunkiness reminiscent of green bottle beers. Bottle from Chevy chase.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clean, crisp and light. Light yellow with white head, light body but not watery and right for the style. Grass, malt and slight sweetness.
So is a German Helles really much better than a Carling or a Fosters? Yes, I think it is; there is more (but not much) on the nose, a better mouthfeel, and it leaves a pleasant, if not strong, aftertaste. So, for those hot summer days when you want something cold, refreshing and not too challenging, this sort of beer fits the bill much better than the high volume macro rubbish. Take note, barbecue hosts everywhere...
