wyzzywyz22 (387), Wirral, Merseyside, England Jul 10, 2008 Bottle, Barleycorns, Nantwich. Poured a pale golden colour. Head pretty much nonexistent. Vague malty aroma; not tantalising the senses thus far. Clean and smooth, and quite enjoyable for the first couple of sips, but becomes rather boring rapidly. Finish was dryish and uneventful. Probably a pretty decent example of the genre, but not really my thang.
fata2683 (183), APO, New York, USA Oct 13, 2008 Bottle poured into pint glass. Pours light gold with almost no head. Smells sour and lightly hoppy. Taste is crisp and clean. Heavy carbonation ends dry with a light bitterness. This is very light and easy to drink. Not a whole lot going on though. cheapdark (1607), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 12, 2008 Updated: Oct 13, 2008Polite bottle with a foil covered cap. Label seems to be quite a bit different than I see here. Pop the lid for a minor veggie olfactory. Looks like pale ubiquitous lager. Sparkling carbonation visible within. On the taste buds it’s a good easygoing initial zest that builds to a slender bitter bite. Carbonation is waning and just enough to keep the brew fascinating on the palate. Fizz weakens rapidly. Some hints of wet pasture perhaps, but just barely. Finish is gentle lager but does ever so subtly gnaw with pilsner spiky bitterness which hangs around for a while. An overall suitable knock back, with a rather amusing personality. Lager enthusiasts will be fond of it. No appallingly bitter hops. Nothing more here than a good american lager. Way too expensive, $4 for a 12 oz bottle. WISEGUY572 (1126), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 11, 2008 Not flawed but not exciting. Great clear light gold with a good white head; as I would expect from a lager, to thin to leave any lacing. Flavor of sweet malts, classic floral hops, even a refreshing surprise ... some bitterness in the finish. Hard to complain, since it is, after all, what it is supposed to be ... a pale lager. jbuzz (518), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 6, 2008 Tasting at Three Cellars Milwaukee. Dry and grainy. Not very Memorable seems very basic. Maria (4439), Thisted, Denmark Oct 3, 2008 It’s golden with a huge, white head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt and fresh grain. The flavour has a fine, slightly dry bitterness, notes of straw, grain and light caramel. It’s pleasantly smooth and yet refreshing.
