500ml bottle with BBE 12/14. Clear pale yellow body with a thin white head. Nose and taste is honey sweet cereal malts with very light grassy hops. Easy drinking lightish bodied palate for the ABV. Average for the style but too sweet and grainy for me.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2014 500ml mug enjoyed @ Augustiner restaurant @ Munich Oktoberfest 2012. A: Pours a golden yellow color. Clear. Forms a big bubbled fizzy white head. Medium retention and many lacings left S: Sweet grains, flowery hops, Lager yeasts. Authentic Bavarian Lager. A bit metallic and ashy too T: Slightly sweet upfront. Sweet malts but, at the same time crisp and dry in the mouth. Strong on bready Lager yeasts with a citrus and skunky hoppy end. Balanced bitterness. Again, a bit metallic and a bit of ashes taste in the very end M: Light body. Medium carbonation. Stingy citrus and bit skunky hoppy end O: Excellent drinkability in German style. Bottle from Cornelius as part of my German beer education. Very pale yellow lovely white head. Nutty malty nose, lots of grain. Very light, lager flavour with slight hop finish. Sweet and malty. Decent.

50cl bottle. Clear light yellow colour with a nice white head. Floral and malts in the aroma. Average carbonation and light watery body. Taste is light, but more sweet than bitter. Overall, an average brew.

On tap at the Golgotha Biergarten near Kreuzberg in Berlin. Very enjoyable and pleasant. Darker and more full-bodied than typical than a helles. Moderate hop presence, still easy drinking. Only very slightly sweet. I can see why this beer is very popular. One of my favorite helles beers yet.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2014 Bottle from The Beer Hive (staff pick). Pours clear. Light aromas. Very soft. Nothing particularly unusual for a Helles Lager. Started off well - although nothing special - however by the end it almost completely lost its carbonation. Expected a bit more

A nice light helles lager. Very clear when poured, very mild in smell, very soft in taste. Nothing that will blow you away but a good brew for a hot day.

500ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Pale dull golden honey colour; Three-quarter finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Small sticky lacing with active and small carbonation; Sweet aroma of malt, with floral, cookies, sugar, strong bread, yeast, lemon and strong grass; Medium sweet taste of light malt, with fairly light barley grains, strong molasses, strong herbs, bread, strong lemon, liquorices, moderate bitter hops and sharp grass; Light body. Thin but quite slick palate; Mouth feel is full-on, very fresh Helles - thin maltyness but with sweet sticky molasses, strong floral and herbal hops compensate the rather light bread. Seems thin at first but fresh herbal-flowery all the way. Really nice!... Hoppiness is strong lemon, floral and strong sharp herbal grass in nose and taste. Moderate bitterness mixes well with glassy herbs for a lasting, mid-astringent finish; Quite dry after taste. Refreshing and herbal hoppy to mouth.

Comments: Its thin maltyness is only a minor distraction: the body has good malty backbone, with nice cookie sweetness, strong fresh floral and herbs, and sharp and smart hops to round thins up. Nice and very refreshing. Need to say more?
