Maximator is a huge beer, sticky in consistency, dark ruby in color with virtually no carbonation and a sweet malty nose.

Bottle 0.5, bought at Orterer Getränkemarkt in Munich. Dark ruby color, aroma of malts and smoke, no carbonation. A very nice malty taste, notes of wood and caramel. Presence of alcohol. Palate typical for a doppelbock. Smokey aftertaste. Very good.

Absolutely stellar! Didn’t realize this was a wish list beer til now. A little on the sweet side, but a prototypical liquid bread beer. Absolutely loved it in every way. This beer exceeded all expectations, and reminded me why doppelbock was once my favorite style. Probably the best I’ve had outside of Celebrator."

12 oz. bottle from Berkeley Bowl West. It pours a deep ruby red color. Very dark with a fizzy khaki head. The aroma is bright and fruity with cherry, cherry syrup, rich breadiness, light raisin and molasses. The flavor is thick with rich dark fruit and bread. Cherry and raisin maltiness stand out with little if any hop character. Clean and well balanced flavors. Very satisfying.

Bork (196) - Rosewood, Georgia, USA - AUG 4, 2014
Full, heavy beer loaded with sweet fruits like cherry and raisin and finished with chocolatey malts. Very rich and filling. Not a big fan of the style and may be treating this brew unfairly.

Bottle in a field in Hungary. Clear amber pour, thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, red wine, slightly spicy, some licorice and a hint of ripe fruits. Flavor is quite sweet, fruity, spicy malts and a decent body. Nice balance.
