3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beergodd1 (381) - Conneaut, Ohio, USA - APR 30, 2012
Very pale yellow color with a foamy white head that is somewhat retained. Aroma is macro lager, the old hay/straw aroma with a hint of bread, some german malt/hop is present. Flavor is sweet with some maltiness and a bit of lagering flavor as well. Not terrible, but far from great.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 dagimp (461) - Philly, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 29, 2012
Poured from a .33L bottle into a pint glass. No date on bottle. Pours a beautiful clear golden hue. Lots of frothy white head and a bit o lacing. Aroma is very light and grassy. Mouthfeel is light and crisp as expected. Taste is clean, mildly-veggielike, little bit o hops, grass, slight dough. I really liked this beer... much more than I thought I would. It’s clean, crisp and easy to drink... but more importantly, it’s all that with good flavor! Good show!
BTW: Every time I hear the work "Munich" I think of that scene in Inglorious Basterds where the Nazi officer is grilling the Basterds in the basement bar. Great scene; great scene.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Thorpe429 (3823) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - DEC 1, 2010
Picked up at Rick’s Wine & Gourmet in Alexandria, VA.
A: Pours a very light, transparent straw color with a small head for the style. Quickly recedes into a tiny ring around the edges of the glass.
S: Initial whiff is some sweet malted grain. A bit of a corn-type smell, but other than that no detectable vegetable presence, which is a big positive with this style.
T: Quite nice and refreshing. A mild sweet grain presence without any off flavors. Clean and crisp. An ever-so-slight hop bitterness with a tiny bit of corn.
M: Fairly thin and somewhat creamy. No alcohol presence for a "light lager" that’s 5.7% ABV.
D: Not bad in the since that there’s nothing particularly off about this one; at the same time, there’s nothing memorable about it either. Interesting to try a more-authentic German take on the light lager category, but not something I’d pick up again.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 beerbill (2935) - Laurel, New York, USA - SEP 22, 2010
12 oz. bottle. Pours a brilliant crystal clear gold with a very thin white head that instantly vaporizes and leaves no lace. The aroma is lager yeast, weak malt, and just a hint of grassy hops. The flavor is equally disappointing with a strong lager yeast flavor, weak malt, weak grassy hops and some sugary sweetness. I paid $2.95 for a single of this crap at Big Z. Drain pour.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy with a frothy top white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated transparent light yellow white colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was vinous dark chocolate malt hop and dark malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The balanced flavor contained notes of mild hops malt and . An OK brew just nothing special.

Single bottle into a lager glass. Pours clear yellow with a fizzy white head that fades fast. The aroma is sweet malt and yeast with touches of hay and grass. The flavor is sweet malt with German hop dryness. Nice and typical - nothing special.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 chefnate (1) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAY 14, 2009 does not count
Aroma: Bready-Yeasty aroma with mineral notes. Aroma is malt forward with mild hop notes. Appearance: Straw color. Clear. Thick rocky head Flavor: The flavor, like the aroma, is malt forward. There is a slight bitterness to the brew that is more age, than hop. The taste is sweet and refreshing. Body: Medium body and creamy Drinkability: Very nice pilsner. Love to have one fresh on draft
