3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 FL.OZ ($5) Was a cool find and was purchased in a hidden jewel of a bar/venue. Cool history on the side of the brewery being so old. Its a light beer and its just that. Light on flavor and its super drinkable. Relatively decent light beer.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
From bottle. Clear gold with thin white head. Small nose of crackers and corn. Light flavor. Taste is straw with vegetable undertones. Basic, non-cloying sweetness throughout. Watery. Interesting, for a helles.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330 ML Bottle in the USA at Old München in Pompano Beach. This is better in Germany fresh but still a great Helles. Smooth mellow and a great example of a Helles.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear, light gold with a short white head.
Honey, lemon scent.
Lightly fruity taste.....a little grain.
Sweet....a little corn malt.
A nice lightness and drinkability that American Pale Lagers (you know, the big ones) should aspire to.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a clear straw color. There’s a nice head here, a two finger white shade that’s fluffy and moderately lasting. Tiny specks of lace are left on the glass, too.
S: There’s a decent presence of sulfury German hops here. Allowing it to warm up will reveal touches of fruity esters, like apricot. Nothing to blow the mind, but decent for the style (I don’t buy for a second this is a light lager, either).
T: Perhaps not as hoppy as the nose indicated...actually, it’s rather sweet. I’d even call it too sweet - especially on the finish - but as it opens up, it does develop a faint hoppy bite on the back end. Moderately refined and smooth.
M: Decently light; not dry enough, though. For that reason, I don’t feel the urge to down it in 5 seconds, which is the mark of a top-flight German lager.
O: I picked this up thinking it was Augustiner Hell...alas, no. Still, it’s a decent lager - and an overpriced one, too. Simply for that, I won’t buy again; unless of course I somehow mistake it for Augustiner Hell again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ home, courtesy of Homer321. Thanks Sean! This is an export version of Edelstoff available on the East Coast of the US. Pours a light clear yellow appearance with a small white head. Fairly grainy, herbal, cracker, a bit bready, noble hoppy aroma. Corn, light vegetable, dry grainy, straw, big herbal flavor. I don’t enjoy this as much as the normal version that I’ve had numerous times in Munich, but that is more likely due to the freshness of this bottle. Not a bad beer by any means.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear, pale gold with minimal lacing. Aroma is urine soaked gym socks, but somehow it's not a deterrent. Not too shabby.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I’m not sure about this one. The first few sips from the first beer had a really strange note in them. Almost like clove or camphor or something. Then it disappeared. A strong, almost corny sweetness emerges and dominates the profile. Some slight yeast and grains are evident. Watery smooth finish. Interesting beer, but I cannot get past the sweetness of it.
