Hmmm. Strong lager nose with a little citrussy bitterness underlying. Pours pale gold with no head. Flavour is strong lager with a thin mouthfeel and slightly sour finish. Frankly, boring.

Bottle in the rake. Alround rating: Stronger lager, sweetish, some peppery al, but still all very drinkable.

Bottle 50cl. Pours a clear pale brew with white stable and dense head. Average carbonisation. Light elegant malty body, hops decent in the background. Harmonic impression, intense malty aftertaste, satisfying hop dryness. Overall a masterpiece for the genre.

(bottle) clear, very light golden colour, white head. aroma is mostly nondescript hops, with notes of hay and very light pale malts. flavour is very light, with more pale malts and hops. medium carbonation, light to medium body, dry finish.

On draught at Battersea BF 08. Clear gold with lasting beige head. Decent lager. Some decent malt on aroma, some hop. Actually a rather nice lager and a pleasant change from 3.8% bitters.

Draught@Battersea Beer Festival. Decent. Malty, bready pale malt flavours, with slightly warming alcohol in the finish. Slight grassy hop notes. Nice.

Somewhat syrupy and uninspiring beer. Sweet malts come through strong leaving the beer a bit heavyhanded. This reminded me of the stale attempts at Marzens found all over microbrew-America.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Quinns.
Clean slightly bubbly gold with a good white head, Slight card board but it’s held in check by some rather nice hops and delicate malt. Lovely hoppy finish with a really pleasing developing smokyness. Better than expected.
