50 cl bottle, via The Dram Shop, Sheffield, UK. Unexpected bright golden colour, sweet grain aroma with a slightly syrupy lager mouthfeel. Warming and more body than a conventional lager, the beer is drinkable but not noteworthy considering other offerings available.

Looks fairly ordinary. Smells fairly ordinary. Tastes fairly ordinary. You get the picture. Not by any means a bad beer, but nothing to be excited about either.

Had this on draft at the Kurgarten Resto a few hours ago and it was a little better. This poured with a nice, large, foamy, frothy, sudsy, white head that slowly settles and lots of lace. Color is a clear yellow with small bubble trails. Aroma is malt, hop, grain, cereal, a bit of skunk (this bottle came from a gas station). Flavor is ok; a little on the sweet side, but does have some good malt, and hop flavors along with the other qualities of master brewing - floral, herbal, grain, and cereal. Body is ok and so is carbonation. Still, I prefer the old red Okfest beers and not the sweeter pale lagers.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Tasting of 3 Oktoberfest Beers in my hotel in Innsbruck. Has a very malty, sweet aroma, kind of fruity, but it doesn’t have much hop aroma there. Very mild tasting, low on carbonation, smooth, buttery, a lot of malt. There’s not much hop. It’s kind of fruity, but it’s a sweet fruitiness, that I think comes from the malt. Easy drinking: had three liters of it yesterday, at the Oktoberfest. But honestly, right now, it tastes a little bit too malty or let me say a little bit, not hoppy enough. Last place of the three beers tasted.

(Bottle) This quite probably should have been fresher. Poured golden and clear with medium sized and white head. Aroma contained grass and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grain, sweetness, grass, bitterness, malts and mild fruitiness. Aftertaste was bitter and mildly sweet.

Bottle 50 cl. Very classic beer nothing to be exited about. Very clear, pils like style, ve are very far from historical octoberfest beers.

Malt : cereal, bread - Hops : herbs, citrus - Good alcohol presence getting mixed with a finny strong sparkling beer, champagne bubble intensivly enjoyable. Very Nice. Very light pale color, yellow-gold. Great refreshing, not too bitter, not too sweet, good balanced, a great job from Augustiner as always.
