Yippeeeeeee! I just had me a HUGE maas o’ Wiesen at the tent tonight. Sure, it was a monday evening, but there were a monstrous number of folks packed in the Augustiner tent tonite. Served by the maas, you just don’t know what hit you. Very yellow, yery rich, too smooth. This might be all Die Wiesen needs to keep things a’goin’. if only the bier machen could get to my table fast enough!

Draught, at the Battersea Festival, London. Golden blond with a fine rising head. Smells like a really strong pils. Corn and grain like aroma with more sophisticated white rose perfume. Medium largish palate. Basically a larger on steroids.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2009 Feb, 2004 Keg into a jug dispense system @ The Terrible Battersea Festival. Pale yellow colour. Initial hit is impressively fresh - hints of apple. Clean, good balance between crisp and creamy. Tasty enough. Fresh cut grass aroma. Dulls down after a few gulps, but some honey comes through. Not a great beer, but very pleasant. [2.9]
Chriso Shindig Aug 2009. Sweet pale lager. Low hop. Not great. [2.2]

Clear pale gold colour. Fair sized head but dissipates swiftly. Entirely flat by the time I reached the bottom of the glass about 45 minutes later. First impressions were promising. Malty aroma with perfumed estery tones in the background. However, as it warmed (I initially opened it straight from the fridge as I had no other beer to hand) a stale cat's pee accent emerged. Like others. I found this quite hoppy, but rather thin bodied. Again, the palate became duller as it warmed. Overall, I found this quite pleasant, but best drunk cooler than I am accustomed to. Bottle (500ml)

Corn, malt extract aroma, pale yellow, small white head. Malt, corn flavour, thin, flat. More like an American Standard, poor offering.

Surprisingly thin for a six per cent beer.Pleasant malt taste but the lack of body makes it a dissapointing Octoberfest beer.No real aftertaste-altogether a rather forgetful beer.In fact I am writting these notes the night after tasting it, and I am trying hard to remember what it was like.

very well made but not arrestingly flavoursome. very clear, pale yellow. deep subtle malt flavours are given a bit of extra plumminess from higher alcohol. extremely soft.
