On tap at the Augustiner Bräu Festhalle 2009. Nice yellow-orange color with frothy dense lingering head, awesome lacing. Creamy malty aroma. Lighly sweet flavor with just enough hops in the finish to even it out. OK, so maybe the fact that this was my first Oktoberfest in Munich has added a few points to the rating, this beer is good none the less.

Bottle. Slightly sweet barley malt and grassy hops aroma. Straw color with moderate head. Sweet barley malt and fresh hay hops flavor. Nicely drinkable and pretty hoppy for an Oktoberfest beer but nothing unique.

Bottle. Clear golden colour with a medium white head and a fair lacing. Aroma and taste of malts and fruits with a weak hoppy finish.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of joss. Beautiful bottle. Clear pale yellow with a white head. Good lacework. Pale malt with a whiff of lovely earthy german hops in the nose. Decent bitterness. Good balance. Dryish finish. Pleasant and flawless. Thanks a lot joss!

500ml bottle. Golden in colour with a slight white head and moderate carbonation. Bready, malt aroma with a hint of sweetness. Smooth drinking, with sweet malt flavour, some grassy hops and lingering bitterness in the finish. Alcohol was well hidden. Good.

DruncanVeasey (7191) - NUNEATON, Top 18, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - SEP 18, 2009
Bottle from Arden Wines. Shrubby hop, honey, biscuit and rubber glove aroma. Thick, lemony and diabetes-inducing; honey on white toast, cream and sweetcorn sweetness. Slick brilliant gold with a dense rocky collar receding to a slick. Bread, vanilla and Ready Break afters. Oh dear. 2 masses of this and I’d be under the table. Quite possibly in lederhosen. A tooth-jangling jammy cream horn of a beer. Naughty.

Bottled. Golden colouor, small white head. Aroma is malts, some slight cardboardy notes as well as some grains. Flavour is quite much the same. Nice stuff.

MrRoss (646) - Delta, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 7, 2009
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2009 From Bootlegger in Paris. This poured a woefully clear and light straw-coloured body under a sparse white head, complimented by an aroma that wasn’t anything. Such things do not usually bode well. However, the taste was acceptable, although perhaps a little too sweet for me. All in all, an okay session beer but not a stunner by any means.
