3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ Augustiner Bierhalle, München. 24.4.2013. Pale yellow beer with a small white head. Herbal and grassy hoppy aroma. Dry, lightly malty and herbal / grassy hoppy flavour. Fizzy mouthfeel, light bodied. Quite refreshing on a hot spring day after spending the day shopping (fioncé). :)
Good traditional german pilsener.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
[massive amounts consumed throughout Munich] Very clear, yellow body. Head is dense, very long-lasting. Aroma of slight sulfur, mildly bitter. Flavors are light, pale malts, more sulfur/yeast character and a bit of residual sweetness. Finishes with a nice crisp bitterness.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Consumed at some hostel nearby the Augustiner gardens in München. The pour is, well, what you would expect from a well-made, highly refined pilsener bier. A quickly fading head and a brilliant straw coloured body, akin to a budwieser, honestly, but in a beer tasting this fresh, this appearance is more than acceptable. It´s prefered. The nose is a little muted, but poured in its appropriate glass what wouldn´t be?! When are people going to wise up and just pour everything in snifters or tulips or bordeau glasses? Anywho, the characteristic awesomeness actually comes from a very low concentration of what seems to be DMS. It´s like thier house character. Aside from that, is grainy, with slightly zesty noble hop character. Appropriately prickly carbonation is matched with a thin, dry, slightly slick mouthfeel. Basically, the only reason I´m rating this is to pass time until they bleed thier glorious Helles out of a wood barrel. Righteous!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours very blond golden and clear, it looks very carbonated. Head is quite thick and leaves good lacing in the glass. Aroma has mostly hay-like hoppiness, butter and grass, there is also little sweetness. Taste is quite thin before grassy hoppiness starts to dominate. There is also little hay and yeast bread. Palate is very thin before hops jumps into the mouth in the middle taste. Quite refreshing, though there is a lot of butter. Basic pilsner, which has a nice hop kick, else this could be watery. There is clear butter in the aroma, but taste is drier and hoppier.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Typical German beer. Good but not exciting. Nice on a hot day- but that´s all. Can´t separate between the major brands from Germany.
