Bottled. Pale golden coloured. Light hoppy and grassy aroma. Big hoppy and bitter flavour with notes of tea and pine. Lingering dry finish. Very tasty and refreshing.

A fantastic pilsnener from Munich: The looks are pretty ordinary, golden/yellow with a bit weak head, but as soon as you stick your nose into the glas you will be overwhelmed by a motherload of flowery aromahops. The hops are there in the taste too, nicely balanced with a medium body. I have to get more of theese!

Bottle. Poured a clear gold with a thin and quickly dissipating white head. Aroma had weak notes of malt and oddly steamed veggies. Flavor was basic with sweet malts and a bit of crisp hops.

(Rating #3872)

Draught at the Augustiner an der Frauenkirche, Dresden, Germany.
Pale golden colour with small white head. Nice hoppy aroma combined with maltiness. Flavour is also nice balanced combination of hops and malt. Hoppy bitterness and malty sweetness. Very nice but slightly thin.

A nice pils, it is a light and fluffy and a pale gold but packs a tasty hop profile, but it isn’t anything out of the ordinary.

Bottle by 08.12. Pale golden, creamy rocky bright white. Lightly sweet, perhaps a touch less juicy and more metallic than the tap Löwenbräu I just had (and seem to prefer), still some good hop juice and dries out . Light-medium body, not all that bitter.

330 ml bottle. BBE 03/2012.
Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malts, light grains and some citrus. Flavour of grainy malts, strong grassy hops, citrus, herbs, bubblegum and honey. Medium bodied, quite high carbonation and a surprisingly bitter, dry and grassy finish. After a while some sweet honey notes and herbs in the finish as well. Really a tasty pils.

(500ml bottle) Courtesy of Joss. Its so pleasant to have a German Pils as there is more aroma and flavour. Very crisp and herb aroma. Very balanced in texture and flavour, mild bitterness and buttery palate. Tonic, very green hops. So nice compared to North American Pils.
