   AROMA 3/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 16/20
BlackHaddock (6344) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2012
Brown 33cl bottle, best before May 2009, drank Jan 2009. Poured into a Veltins Pilsner tulip (twice). One of the clearest pilsners I’ve ever seen, very, very pale yellow, not even enough colour to call it golden. The fine looking white head that sat on top after each pour soon faded to lacing and wisps, shame. Odourless, and I mean odourless. Even as the beer warms, no aromas could be found, gets my standard pilsner/lager score of 3. Typical Bavarian pilsner feel and taste, clean, crisp and refreshing. Pilsners are not supposed to have strong flavours that knock you about and this one is no different. It does however keep it’s charactor throughout the drink, I mean it doesn’t go all metalic, or tinny and the last sip is as good as the first with no nasty aftertaste. One of the better Pilsners I’ve had.

Countbeer (6192) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 20, 2012
Had this In Munchen years ago, in one of the many bierkellers/biergarten/bierhalle. The typical glass 1 liter beer mugs filled with this Munich goody do taste good. is it because of the friendly and laughing company, which you get for free in those grand beer places? At least you get a good vibe and the atmosphere is good. Tasty and good looking (thanks to the mug). And within a short period of time, I am ready for a 2nd mug! Bitte gein bit...

kappldav123 (5890) - GERMANY - SEP 3, 2010
The bottle looks simple, but good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong, a bit sharp-sourish, hoppy and dry. Finish a bit milder, more spicy. Well balanced and quite drinkable. Not bad!

EithCubes (5618) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 9, 2012
Bottle by 08.12. Pale golden, creamy rocky bright white. Lightly sweet, perhaps a touch less juicy and more metallic than the tap Löwenbräu I just had (and seem to prefer), still some good hop juice and dries out . Light-medium body, not all that bitter.

Bottle at the RBESG08 Grand tasting. Alround rating: Strong? Pale grainy biscuity malts, grassy bittering hop, very typical of the style.
