Another nice weissbeir, but at some point they all start tasting the same. This one doesn’t differentiate itself in any real way from the other breweries in Munch. Aside from the fact that I got as much as wanted for free. Thank you ESEH 2013!

On tap at Augistiner in Berlin 09.02.13. Poured a nice hazy golden orange. Aroma of lemon and subtle spice. Taste was OK .. not sure if this one was off as I didn’t get any of the notes others speak of .. we got lemon notes with very little spice and almost a bitterness of a lager at the end. Overall, would not buy again as their are many other better German weizens

Dark golden color (almost amber) with dense foam. Aroma of banana and clove. Flavor citric acid, and malted (weiss malt). Augustiner is the oldest brewery in Munich.

Bottle from Biershop Bayern. Golden orange/amber couloured weissbier with a very nice head. Lots of banana flavours with some citrus and spice to make things interesting. A very good example of an "old fashioned" weizen...

50cl bottle from just about anywhere in Munich. Pours a hazed golden orange colored body with a two inch, foamy and creamy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is banana esters with a light clove spice and a lightly sweetened wheat malt backing. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened wheats with a good amount of banana, a light clove, and just a touch of citrus. Finishes clean and lightly dry before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Medium-light body and a soft, active carbonation. Overall, a pretty decent hefe. Nothing special, but tasty and easy drinking. Not bad.

Keg at the bierhalles of munich. Funnily enough drunk in the company of MalcolmTucker who coincidentally rated this beer from a bottle in Edinburgh for the rate imediately before this one. Yellow with a thick White head. Typical banana and clove medley from the Hefe yeast. Not overly sweet. Very nice.

Bottle. Very haxy with a huge head. A very restrained hefe - the usual banana and clove are happening but not as much bubblegum sweetness as others.

50cl bottle at Probus Wines, Dublin. Hazy murky orange pour with lasting white head. Aroma gives bananas, clove spice, and fairly zesty orange. Orange peel and banana dominate the flavour, alongside sweet bread, herbs, and clove. Lingering banana, herbs, and orange zest. Medium/full mouthfeel. Nothing too complex here, but a tasty Hefeweizen for sure.

Bottle. Cloudy golden with big white head. Typical banana and clove aroma and flavour but not quite as full on as others. Thick and creamy texture, quite heavy. Not bad
