Pint bottle brought back from Germany by Dave #4’s brother. Pours a highly carbonated cloudy orange with a one finger white head. The nose is wheat, spice and light esters. The taste is lemon zest, spice, dusty wheat and banana. Medium prickly mouthfeel. Decent.

* Old rating, 0,5l crown-top-bottle, best before 02.06. Mild-weiches, sehr trübes Bier, frisch-fruchtig, weich-hefig. Hefig-milder, weich-bananiger Nachgeschmack ohne zu viel Süße! Toll!

Very cloudy amber to golden body with solid head. Typical where aromas, clean, light spice, not banana. Soft carbonation and when not too cold it had a solid taste profile. Decent wheat but not as particular or special as some can be, even from the classic German producers. (50cl bottle from V&B Tours)

From a 500 ml bottle at Il Maltese. Dark gold/light orange, slightly hazy, with a small and bubbly white head. On the nose mature banana, fruit esters, chestnut honey, a hint of nuts and herbal hop notes. Pretty sweet upfront, not as chunky and wheaty as other weiss, and more dry as well. Mild acidic/astringent and peppery punch in the end. Soft carbonation, medium body, slightly creamy texture. Decent if not slightly above average, for a style I don’t really like that much.

From the barrel at the Brauhaus in Munich. (what a mad manic place!!) Pleasant Typical german Weissbier. Orange/Yellow hazy with white head, zesty wheaty notes.

Couleur orangée trouble, très légère mousse blanche. Nez céréales et banane. Gout de levures assez doux, malt, note de paille et bananes légères. Corps bien rond en bouche avec petite pétillance. Petite amertume en fin de bouche. Pas mal

Classic munchen weizen, so hazy, fill bodied, but more smoked than banana taste. I like it!

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2014 500ml Weizen glass enjoyed @ Augustiner restaurant @ Munich Oktoberfest 2012. A: Pours a dark orange color. A bit cloudy but definitely filtered Weissbier. Huge creamy and viscous head is formed leaving many small chunks of foam in the glass S: Great banana esters in the nose. Spicy in the Weiss style, with notes of cloves, honey, wheat, bread and finally the yeasts. No hops so far... T: Sweet upfront with notes of honey, sweet malts, some caramel malts. Banana bread, cloves, wheat and yeasts. In overall, a sweet beer. Smooth. No noticeable hops bitterness M: Very smooth mouth sensation, a light to medium creamy body and low retention. Sweet bread aftertaste O: Excellent drinkability. Good example of an authentic German Weissbier [ BA Review @ 9/30/2012 ]

(Bottle, Berlin Tempel Airport, 27 July 2014) Hazy golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with bread, banana, canned peaches and some clove. Malty, wheaty taste with notes of bread, wheat-flour dough, banana, peaches and clove. Medium body, with a certain sweetness and low bitterness. Solid and true to the style, but hardly exciting. Quite enjoyable.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2014 This is a very creamy weissbier. Just delicious on the tongue with a lot of complexity, too. Aroma is largely what you would expect from a weissbier and it looks a little water (but it isn’t, don’t worry).
