On a pilgrimage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly drops of amazingly overwhelming aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made in limited amount. And then the taste....even more jesus! Produced and bottled by Evil Twin Brewing at Companyia Cervesera del Montseny SLL. Catalunya, Spain.

Fast schwarze Farbe, große bräunliche schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig, viel Kaffee und Schokolade. Geschmack sehr Schokoladig, süß, Vanille, röstmalzig bitter, alkoholisch, gut!

Intensiv malziger, angenehm süßer Antrunk. Weich herb, schokoladig, trocken, was in diesem Fall aber passt. Viskos, das nun steigend trockene Mundgefühl stört. Weich, unsüffig aber gut. 12/11/11/11//11

Many thanks to travlr for this beer! Deep roasted smooth nose. The beer starts thick and intense. Sourish-roasted, very dark and intense, super rich. Burned sugars, dry thick caramel, velvet and viscosity. Fantastic - not too sweet, extreme thick and smooth in one.

11.2oz bottle purchased at the Pearl St. Beverage Warehouse in Burlington, VT. Pours an oily, jet black with a thick, frothy, dark mocha, quickly dissipating head. Smells of cocoa, wood, currants and alcohol. Nothing special. Tastes of dark cocoa, slight currants and a good amount of alcohol coming through. Other than that, not too complex. Smooth mouthfeel, thick enough but nothing crazy. Honestly, preferred the café version of the Jesús. A little disappointed but still a good imperial stout.

Draught at The Beer Trappe. Big rich coffee chocolate beer that is thick and chewy and delicious.

Bottled. Pours pitch black, used motor oil. Very dark tan head. Aroma is lots of very roasted malt, super dark chocolate, really thick and decently boozy. Very rich and decadent. Flavor is very roasted malt, very rich dark chocolate. Bitter coffee finish. This thing is intense in every way. It’s excellent but with a $12 price tag, it’s understandable to not go after it.

2016/10/02 - Pours a deep brown (nearly black) with a thin foam tan head that quickly reduces and leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is roasted coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, fudge and biscuit. Taste is milk chocolate, fudge, bitter cocoa, burnt toast, roasted coffee and hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is full and oily with creamy carbonation and a bitter sweet, dry, lightly warming finish. Big, bold and delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My 2000th rating! Bottle from Craft Beer Cellar Waterbury. Awesome rich aroma of chocolate, coffee, burnt, vanilla. Taste is the same. Good bitter sweet balance. Slight boozy finish. Great!

Bottle poured into a taster showing oil slikcy black with no head. The nose shows light notes of roasted malts with sharp notes of chilli in between. The palate is full bodied and slightly oily with very light carbonation. Flavors of burnt malts on the beginning. The mid palate quickly warms up to light spiciness and a finish of burnt espresso. The spiciness quickly dissipates on the finish. Well done.

Draft. Headless black body with brown edge. Aroma is sweet, milk chocolate, cocoa, light char, hazelnut. Taste is sweet, milk chocolate, some char/smoke, light cocoa, lactose. Sticky full body, minimal carbonation.
