3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 degbert (805) - Austin, Texas, USA - AUG 1, 2012
Can. Pours a dark orange-gold with a creamy head. Nose is piney, citrusy (more tangerine than grapefruit) and slightly floral; very nice balance on the nose. Hops bitterness kicks it off, then there is almost a honeyed sweetness before the back of the tongue closes off with more hops astringency. Long finish, with a touch too much bitterness. Good.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kayres (210) - , Georgia, USA - JUL 29, 2012
Served in the can at the W. smell is a bit tinny. Medium to light bodied balance to the malts this one would never cut it as an IPA on either coast and it is too malty for the UK.

Dark gold pour. Aroma floral, citrus, and mostly hops. Heavy bitter, with light sweetness. Citrus notes, hoppy, earthy and herbal.
Definitely a hophead beer.

From the pour the aroma is of huge hops. In the glass the hops aroma continues as well as citrus and some earthy grains. The taste has huge bitterness and leaves some sour in your mouth.

3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 colinize (314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 6, 2012
One of my favorite Texas brewed IPAs. Served out of a can, this american style IPA pours a deep reddish gold. High carbonation is evidenced by the continuous stream of rising bubbles. Half finger of head results from the pour. Subtle hop aromas - citrus and some sweet caramel. Beer has good, well rounded body with hop flavor throughout. This beer is very hop forward - not much of a malt characteristic to balance this one out. Resin, pine and light citrus notes dominate the flavor profile of this beer. It’s highly drinkable - almost sessionable, for an IPA.

Not awful but after having finished the oatmeal pale, this one struggled in competition...
