Flavor swoops in (cue EAGLE SCREAM), grabs you by the face and flies you through the hop rainbow. At the peak of the ride it swoops back to earth and gently drops you back on your bar stool where you are refreshed, excited and ready to ride again. Itís hoppy, bold and American. More bitter than a Cleveland Cavs Fan.
Hops: Summit, Columbus, Centennial, Amarillo
Malts: Pils, C-40, C-60, Wheat
Yeast: American Ale

A: The beer pours a slightly hazed orange color with a finger of soapy white head. S: Citrus hops to start with a mild floral aroma. Quite a bit of grapefruit to it and itís very perfumey. There is a little bit of malt sweetness underneath, mostly bready in character. T: The grapefruit flavor really stands out, as do the floral and piney hop flavors. Lots of bitterness all the way through, but still a pretty nice hop flavor profile. A little bit of bread and malt to it. M: Medium bodied with a medium carbonation. O: Pretty good IPA, especially considering some of the other Texan IPAs Iíve had.

draft. lightly hazed copper body with a small white head. typical orange oil and pine resin hop aroma with similar flavor. somewhat tropical but otherwise itís a straight shot of pine sap. highly bitter with strong hop acid, fizzy carbonation, and medium amber / caramel malt sweetness. clean presentation, well made, but not my kind of IPA.

Sampled at BTBF. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a small white head. Aromas are hop forward with citrusy, floral, dank hops, cantaloupe, lots of Centennial notes, very light DMTS (green onion), and a touch resiny. Flavors are floral, citrusy, dry and dank. Very fresh hop profile. Medium bubbles and dry. Iíd pick up a few 6 packs of this if it were locally available and this fresh.

Canned. Poured clear, brighter golden with a well-retained white head.. sticky lacing followed it down. The aroma picked up pine resin and grapefruit hoppage over a sweet biscuit and lightly honeyed base.. simple, but not bad at all. The flavor found more bready sweetness at the core, with black pepper and grapefruit bitterness extending outward.. tight carbonation also contributed some bite on the finish.. again solid, but not spectacular. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. a tad spicy.. overall an easy drinker that Iíd have again.
