4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Can thanks to Will. Pours a cloudy orange with small creamy white head leaving spotty lacing. Aroma is grapefruit and citrus. Thick mouthfeel with strong pine, resin, dank and light pineapple. Easy to drink hiding alcohol well. Very impressive IIPA.

Hazy orange pour with a white head. Grapefruit and lots of pineapple aroma. Some orange, bread, caramel, mango, and pine. A hint of apricot, too. Not much bitterness to the flavor. Some pine, grapefruit, and a lot of fruit. Pineapple, orange, and sweet caramel malt. Light mango and apricot.

4.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pour from a 16z can. Nice amber color with a solid head and nice lacing. Clean hop aroma that eludes to the piney hops that lay ahead. Well balanced with a clean malt backbone. Citrus and pine hops are the star here, and star they do.
Beer would be better with a bit more carbonation. I think the hops would pop a bit more and reduce the hot alcohol.
Great brew, ABW. Keep em coming.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bold, cloudy orange in color with a yellowish/off-white colored head. Bold, with a
strong, sweet, hoppy aroma that’s fruity and almost tropical. It smells thick and
fresh. Very earthy in the mouth, light but still bold enough with hop stickiness
and resinousness prevailing. Good god, it’s good. Intense with hops, but so
soft that it’s sessionable beyond belief. Me gusta!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
hazy golden amber with a small (almost pathetic, really) fizzy white head. poor retention and no lacing. mango, pineapple, apricot, papaya, tangerine, resin, caramel, honey, flowers. very bitter, very sweet, slightly spicy. full body, thick and oily feel that coats your tongue, light carbonation, long bitter finish. i sort of feel like there’s more going on in the aroma than there needs to be, but it reminds me a lot of maharaja which is my #1 double ipa that i just ran out of, so im a happy camper. of what i’ve had, this is austin beerworks’s strongest offering.
