Sampled at an esbls tasting. From Kenny. Very clear golden with active carbonation. Aroma and flavor are both very light. A bit of hop and malt but not a lot of anything.

A decent clean pale ale with little to no aroma. Goes down smooth when it is cold, but there is little body, no bitterness, and little flavor.

Can poured a clear gold with a lasting creamy white head. Aromas of bread dough and light straw. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread and straw with a crisp dry finish.

4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is my favorite session beer. Where I generally prefer IPAs, I often find myself reaching for one of these instead. ABW has managed to take this beer and make it as crisp and clean as possible, and yet impart it with some soul.
Poured in a pilsner glass, straight down the middle of the glass with time taken for the foam to settle into a white head that lasted to the end of the beer. Strong malt aroma with bright hop notes. The appearance is crystal clear with medium carbonation. The taste is sublime-remember this is not an obscure beer style, but it does such a great job of representing a style that is often hard to make exceptional. It is only lightly sweet, with a medium bright and ever so slightly peppery hoppiness that is refreshing. The palate is slightly prickly, with a medium-light body and a clean, clean finish. It does not leave a long lasting bitterness, but it also does not have a finish that falls off too soon. It leaves you happy to have taken a swallow and ready for another. This is in no way a palate wrecker, rather it seems to work with your palate to keep it happy.
This beer makes me happy to drink it and has been my true companion sitting in the Texas sun smoking a brisket or ribs. It is, in my opinion, the best pale ale around.

Light gold pour, scant head. Malt in the nose, very faint hops lurking. Dry on the tongue. Malt is in the middle, but not very distinctive. Little flat out the backside. OK

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours golden with short lived head. Smell is very muted. Just smells mostly like a crisp clean lager, without any strong notes of hops. Taste is like a lager with a touch of crisp bitterness and somewhat sweet honey like malt. Overall, very easy to drink, and not bad. More of a beer to drink cold, and when youíre not interested in thinking about the flavors and sticking your nose in the beer to pick out characteristics.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the Alamo Drafthouse - Village, Austin, Oct. 19. Pours a clear, bubbly gold with a small lasting frothy white head. Mild aroma of grain, fruit, caramel malt, some sugary sweetness, light vegetal notes and light hops. Flavour of grain, caramel malt and also some very light sugary sweetness. Flavour did get a bit better the more I drank it, adds some fruit and light hops. Average bodied. This was disappointing, itís too mild and there arenít enough hops for the style.

A nice American pale ale - clean and crisp and not as much hops as other American pale ales.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can:   Yellowish straw, very translucent, moderate white head, frothy, with decent lacing.   Looks more like a Pils than a Pale.   Not much hop on the nose, in fact there isnt very much at all.   Seems very shallow, with a faint citrus presense along with very pale dull wheatiness.   I was hoping for hops!   Similar tongue, very shallow and non-descript, a bit watered down.   Has a straw/wheaty aspect I dont expect for the style.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, bordering on thin.   Bland finish, very boring... not much to this at all.   At least I can say its clean.   Thanks for the can Bill!

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can. Pours yellow-gold with a white, sticky head that leaves lace. Not much nose on it at all -- what there is is an unspecified candied sweetness with light notes of aluminum can. Taste is metallic yellow fizzistuff with a faint hops note. Mouthfeel is oddly glycerine. Iíll stick to their Pilsner, thanks.
