A: The beer pours a clear golden color with a big white head. S: There is a little bit of a lemony note, slightly soapy, with a rather light malt note. Some floral hop notes along with a pale malt sweetness and grassy hop notes. T: A mild sweetness of pale malts. There’s a floral and grassy hop note to it. Some fruity esters and yeast flavors with a very mild/soft bitterness. M: The body is on the lighter side of medium with medium to high carbonation. O: A pretty nice, easy to drink pils. Good flavor and aroma.

Can sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Ariel. Clear golden. Decent aroma of grassy and citric hops and a bit of bready malt. Flavor has a bit of bready malt, slightly sweetish and nice grassy and citric hops bitterness. Rather light-bodied. Pleasant and refreshing.

On tap at Flying Saucer Houston. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has notes of bread and hay with crisp lager yeast. Flavor is full of hay, grain and bread with hints of pine and grapefruit. A bit of lager yeast, but not much else.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2014 > A super dank dry hopped blonde beer that may not even be the Pearl Snap Pils despite the can’s label

[ Can ][ t0rin0 ][ 12oz ][ Tasting ][ Stemless Wine Taster ][ 4/26/14 ]
>> Pours a clear straw with soapy foam, soapy lace. High carbonation. Nose is super dank NZ style melon hops, definitely nontraditional for a German pils. Taste is plastic, concrete, harshly bitter. Toothpaste, concrete finish. Whatever was inside this can, I don’t think it was their German pilsner...

>!< concrete, plastic, perhaps they mixed up their beer

[ Keg ][ 16oz ][ Salty Sow Austin TX ][ $5 ][ Flute ][ 9.2.14 ]
>> Now this is actually Pearl Snap and not some experimental prototype batch. Brilliant gold pour with low foam. Nose is grainy, fresh, snappy pilsner malt. Taste is juicy and pilsner malty, great snappy pils with juicy malt body and grassy Noble hops. Great sourdough palate with mild lactic acid. Very good, would be in my fridge at all times if I lived in Austin.

12 oz. can from a buddy in Texas- thanks Brian! Pours a pale, completely clear gold with a small, bubbly white head that settles into an uneven film. Aroma of grass, pale malts, crackers, grains, and hay. Flavor has more grass, with some bitter citrus peel, grains, pale malts, and straw. More bitter than you’d expect for the style. Light-bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a, yes, bitter mouthfeel. Decent pils.

draft and cans. filtered gold with a white head of average retention. grassy, lightly spicy, lightly juicy, heavily musty German hop nose with sweetish baked cracker pilsner malt. lightly toasty and grainy / rough with medium-low carbonation, medium acid, a touch of something I will call "crunchy" but could otherwise be described as overly-toasty, combined with overuse of noble hops to produce something a bit rough around the edges, bordering on caustic, but kept inline by sweet-enough pale malt. yeast could be cleaned up but otherwise I’d say they have something going here.
