Utpå er friskt, tørt og høyt karbonert. Appelsinskall, koriander og sitronpure tilfører friske, fruktige og mildt syrlige toner til ølet.

Hazy pale golden with a white head - citrus and some yeasty aromas - Malt in the back with a nice citrus flavour - The citrus goes into a lingering finish - This was nice

Sample in the Malt & Humle tent at Gladmatfestivalen 2014, Stavanger. Like most Austmann beers, it is extremely cloudy. This brewery seems to take "unfiltered" literally, their beers appear not to be even coarse filtered. Typical witbier aroma and flavour, nothing special here. Will rerate when I get a full bottle.

Has a citrus nose. Gives a slimy afterdrink. Has some herb notes. Not that refreshing.

Sampler from tap at the Malt & Humle tent, Gladmatfestivalen 2014. Pours a hazy yellow grey body with a large white head. Super inviting citrussy, coriander, rose pepper, wit yeast nose. Aromas follows through to the mouth. Light to medium bodied. Light doughy texture. Nice spicy finish and lovely notes of apricot.

Huge offwhite head. Hazy pale yellow body with carbonation. Herbal pine needle aroma with spicy lemongrass notes, slightly perfumy. Sweetish spicy lemongrass and flowers taste with mealy lemony notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish, and faintly acidic, lemongrass and toffeeish mealy malt aftertaste with spicy floral notes. A little perfumy, but not much. Interesting, different, and actually quite good. Not all the Austmann beers with spices work well. This is one of their better. (0.33l bottle, from Meny Oslo City.)

0.33l bottle from #115. Looks nice this with a cloudy deep golden body under a medium sized fading bright white head that eventually turns in to a sidesticking islandy thing. On the nose I get a nice soapy (I mean sopay in a good way here) aroma. Junipers and a fair amount of sweet fruitiness. Wheat sweet as well and it has tones of coriander and oranges. Yeah, not bad at all really. In the mouth it has a soft oily mouthfeel and it’s just below average on the carbonation. Dry almost a bit grainy flavors at first. Lots of hay and some wheat sweetness. It’s almost a little Belgian in the yeast department this. Soft floral with hints of bright white candied sugar and some white sweet currants. Yeah, it’s quite lightdrinkable and flavorful. Perhaps a tad to grainy for my personal taste, but it’s still a somewhat interesting wit-ish creation. 16.04.2014

Rune (8203) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUL 2, 2014
330ml bottle, batch 115, bought at Meny Oslo City and shared with Finn back home. Misty golden coloured body. Fair, chalk white head leaving nice lacework on the glass. Perfumed hoppy nose, hints of ginger. Mixed taste of wheat, ginger, and citrus, mid-sweet. A spicy touch to a fruity ending. Soft in the mouth. Straightforward (Tromsø 25.06.2014).

Flaske 0,33l - batch 115. Spandert av Rune og delt under seanse på Nerstranda 25 Jun 14. Gyldengulbrun. Lettskyet. Høyt kritthvitt skum med litt lacing. God mandarin-/appelsinaroma. Smaken har et visst ingefærpreg. Blir litt ensformig.

Bottle from Meny Grim. Straw. Couple of cm of white head. Lemongrass and pepper nose. A bit sour. Almost medium body. Stingy, but below average carbonation. Malt, seltzers, some banana, some pepper flavour. Good. A bit too sour, but refreshing.
