COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Calafate fruit is a gift from the southern gods to the patagonian people. Thanks to that fruit, their long walking journeys never stopped, just like the production of this unique beer. (Translation from Spanish by Panzerfaust)

Bottled. Clear brownish amber with fairly rich head. Interesting aroma of tangerine candy. Sweetish with clean mouthfeel and medium body. Dominated by black currant winegums. Fairly low bitterness. Good, unsual beer.

Bottled 330ml. -Nice clear amber coloured, small tan head, perfumed blueberry nose. The taste is interesting but not so pleasant. Cough syrup with notes of blueberries and black currant. Quite artificial.

Bottle. Nice clear chestnut, low carbonation, brown head. Juniper and slightly weird fruity perfume aroma. Light nutty start, somewhat dry and flat roast with a big bucket of fruity/flowery berry notes on top - bit too much really. Medium to light body, mellow dry mouthfeel. Sweet berry aftertaste.

This was more drinkable than their lager but I couldn’t really tell what the calafate fruit contributed.

Bottle, a clear dark amber with a pillowy off white head. A light earthy aroma. Rich and alcoholic on the palate. Malt flavours dominate, both caramal and woody. Quite pleasant to drink slowly.

My glasses in the hotel must have been hit with a huge dose of detergent as even though I have rinsed each one the beer pours as a flat and unnapealing beer. The colour is fine, like a sherry but I fail to pick up any strong presence on the nose, nor is there a strong flavour of whatever a calafate is. I guess its better than the lager but that is saying nothing.

Pours an amber/light brown with fruity nose. Blueberry notes make this an interesting and enjoyable beer. One of my favorite Chilean beers.
