COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its all about the hops. In this case Australian Galaxy hops. Used in the kettle, the fermenter and in maturation to give a big hit of enticing citrus and passion fruit flavours but without too much bitterness to slow you down.

(On tap) Hazy yellow with good white head. Pleasant pine and fruit aroma. Light body with good carbonation. Very refreshing with plenty of tangy exotic fruit up front and then a smooth gentle mid-palate and some bitterness in the finish. A very refreshing beer.

The Australian Pale Ale a random beer picked up from World Beer Market via Rakuten. Currently on sale for 250-300 yen for 355ml, imported by Konishi. 4.8% this beer has the look of a Pilsner but a surprisingly fruity hoppy punch on opening. The label says Galaxy hops and it does indeed give me a passion fruit aroma. Raspy mouthfeel & light bodied. The taste is crisp, tropical fruit hoppiness then chalky light malts. Decent but it would benefit from a more balanced malt bill. Quite good for the price.

Mild pine hoppy nose. Lemon, sweet citrus, peach, strange salty carbonation, quite dry finish. Not so bad, a light citrus hop pale (golden?) ale despite the odd carbonation.

355mL can BB 08/12/15 Pale straw body, slight haze, fluffy white head. Rather tasty nose too it - serious passionfruit, guava, lime & grassy hops, with a touch of cereally malt underneath. Medium light body, smooth, soft carbonation, crisp overall. Delivers a well balanced, easy going combination of crisp pale malts with an appropriate measure of passionfruity, grassy hops. Restrained bitterness, subtle finish. Very easy to drink, not overly complex just tasty!

Can at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is pine needle grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a yeasty citrus hop palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Aangename verrassing.

Can. Very light in colour for a pale ale. looks more like Australian pale lager. Some hop character, a bit like a cross between Australian lager and a pale ale. Not bad light summer drinking.

355ml can. Poured a hazy golden yellow with a fine and slowly fading white head. Aromas of piney, near resinous hops balanced by juicy passionfruit, peach and tangerine. Light to medium body, medium carbonation and firmly textured that’s crisp, clean and refreshing. Finishes with a lingering pithy pink grapefruit bitterness. Good intensity to start and fine length but falls a little short on the back end. Good as a summer sessioner.

From a can. Pours a cloudy pale gold, mild fruity/grassy aroma, quite smooth, not much hop punch. It’s OK

Pours a clear straw-golden with a foamy white head. High carbonation. Very piney aroma with strong cut grass notes. Light citrus and floral notes. Very dry. A pleasantly light body with a simple malt profile. Hops balance.well, delivering noticeable bitterness and excellent citrus fruity character. One for a session
