3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can from Plonk. Pale amber, not much head, quite dry, piney hop flavour, some sweet, toasty/biscuity malt, a bit thin, low bitterness. Ok.

Can - pours a hazy yellow with a big white head. Pine resin dominates witha underlying citrus and floral aroma. Floral hop up front then a dry resin finish. Medium to creamy mouthfeel.

Hazy but clear yellow, very light gas, no head. Slight grass aroma, flat taste and nothing much on the palate. Not so great.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
355ml can (what a novelty!)
Pours a very light cloudy golden color with lots of pillowy white head. The head sticks around and is quite stiff.
Nose is some floral notes, lemon blossom and passionfruit, as well as a bit of pine resin and grapefruit.
Taste is pretty delicate. Thereís a bit of grapefruit, some passionfruit on the mid palate, a little bit of caramel and some hoppy resinous flavours on the finish along with a bit of grapefruit and some biscuity notes. Itís more bitter than I was expecting, but still definitely in the ínot particularly aggressively hopped pale aleí territory.
Body is extremely light and this beer is far too fizzy. I canít really taste it because itís so damn fizzy.
Not a bad beer once you let it warm up and offgas. Itís nothing incredible, but itís a good solid pale ale.

Better than average but not great, had at Beer Cartel. Nice aroma and classic Australian pale ale flavours, more of a golden ale to be honest. Reminded me slightly of the Pacific Ale by Stone & Wood, a bit thin and very passionfruit & grapefruity. Drinkable.

Bought in a 355ml can from Dan Murphyís. Packaging and name gave me the impression it was some el cheapo trying to cash in on the craft beer market.
However the initial pouring showed this was a serious beer. Beautifully cloudy and golden with a nice creamy and bubbly head showed lots of promise.
Hints of fruitiness in the aroma.
Classic pale ale flavours, leaning towards dry rather than sweet, lively, medium bodied. Very pleasant.
Only disappointment was the finish. Astringent would probably be a bit harsh, but would have liked that flavour to hang around for a bit longer.
Overall, a good example of the type of Pale Ale thatís available in Australia at the moment. Iíd buy it again.

From a 355ml can on 4/7/2013 (labelled íThe Pale Aleí). Pours a quite cloudy light straw with a medium head - a very odd looking beer. Has a lovely light fruity aroma, with some citrus and passionfruit. Thereís lots of passionfruit and more sweet citrus in the flavour, with a slightly dry, relatively firm finish. Has quite lively carbonation and a medium body. This is a very nice beer - quite similar to a Knappstein Reserve Lager, which is a good thing. Iím quite liking this breweryís work so far.

Can from DM. Very pale, cloudy and thin looking.... nice head though. Almost no malt, maybe a little straw. Definitely Galaxy hops in there with citrus and a little passion fruit, but the beer pleasant as it is, is sadly unbalanced. Quite spritzy and a little thin with a tropical character in the finish.

355ml can from Dan Murphyís. There is a big fluffy white head above a hazy cloudy looking amber beer. Nice passionfruit hop aroma which is pleasant in the nose. Fruity and zingy in the mouth and the favour is a mix of rockmelon and passionfruit.
