3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Another well-made bottom-fermented beer from these guys. A decent summery pils with enough hop character to set it above the average big-bottlo fridge junk. Straw-coloured with a shallow pall of suds. Nice, zesty aroma, not a million miles away from the Steam Ale. Lemon peel, Saaz (?), faint ginger. Bright, spritzy palate. Light and fruity up-front before a tasty bitterness. Sauvin hops from NZ? Faintly metallic, with a dry, herbal finish. Worth a repeat visit. (355ml can from D’Vine Cellars, Wenty Falls)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours gold with a fading head.
Nose shows spicy, earthy and herbal hops along with some lemony notes.
Pretty similar flavours, but hoppier. More herbal notes and light malt with a grainy hint.
Could use a bit more carbonation.
Pretty decent attempt at a bohemian pilsner!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can - pale straw with a frothy white head. Little resin hop and malt aroma. Hops really come through on the taste and give a nice bitterness. Bit of a metallic taste comes through despite being poured into a glass.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Had this at Beer Cartel, overall a nice mainstream Pilsner, one that is actually a Pilsner not just a pale lager branded as one. Nice citrus tones, quite smooth. The most drinkable out of their range.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a 355ml can on 6/7/2013. Pours a clearish straw colour with a big white head. Has a strong, quite pleasant citrus aroma. The flavour features pale malt, more cirus fruit, lemon zest and a subtle hint of grapefruit, with a good, firm bitterness to finish thing off. The body and carbonation are both medium. These guys are doing a Surly and serving in cans and making some rather good stuff.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bright, palest yellow gold with sparse carbonation and a loose and lasting, sudsy white head. Clean peppery hop nose with hints of lemon zest, wheat grain and pear drops. Prominant spicy hops on the palate. Light but firm bodied, grainy and dry, and fuelled by prickly carbonation. Ends crisp, bitter and dry with a pleasant herbal hop edge and residual, citrus peel notes. This is a great little quaffer. If this is a wholly DME lager then they’re doing it right. Went down very nicely indeed! (355mL can, BB 04/12/13, Dan Murphy’s Currambine)

UPDATED: APR 11, 2015 From a can at 2013 Canberra Beer Festival. Nice hoppy/malty pilsner, Saaz hops obvious. An ok drop, slight metallic taste spoilt it a bit.
Re-rated Feb 2015: Pale straw/yellow, 1cm white head, biscuity malt and citrusy hop aromas, slightly sweet, earthy hop bitterness, light body, thin palate, dry bitter finish. Nice.
