(bottle) Cloudy, brown colour with a big but collapsing beige frothy head. Sourish fruity (lemon, berries) and wheaty aroma with notes of caramel and chocolate. Mildly sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied, with a smooth carbonation for a Weizen. Moderate wheat-character with lighter toasty notes but a good dash of berry-fruits and lemon; moderately sweet and sour-fruity finish. Pleasant. 09.IX.09

Bottle. Light wooden roast aroma. Quite dar brown, offwhite head. Orangepeel entry, roasted, light coffee notes, earthy and grassy hop in the background, nutty/almondy finish. Mellow sparkly on the palate. Interresting flavors but a slightly too fast exit.

Fully hazy, green-tinted dark brown beer with a very stable dark cream head. Banana & clove, bit of bitter chocolate in the nose. Sweetish-fruity, bananamash-filled beer. Again with bitterish chocolate in the finish. Apparently very well-bodied. Nice, fruity, but again very young tasting Dunkelweizen.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.

Hazy - murky medium grey amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is light malty, caramel, wheat, moderate yeasty, light fruity banana. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light light bitter with a average to long duration, caramel. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft. [20110326]

Bottle (vom Stefan!): Hazy, deep amber coloured; moderate to solid sweet-caramelly and fruity nose (dried fruits) with a solid wheaty background; moderate sweet - sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, not so fizzy; caramelly and fruity-wheaty finish. Fine Dunkelweizen.........

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Nice aroma. Starts mild, not very yeasty, more malty. Finish more fruity. Well balanced finish. Nice.

bottle, Finkbeiner Illertissen. Cloudybrown colour with a red glow, large and creamy beige head. Aroma of roasetd malt, wheat and fruit. Malty and wheaty with shy hints of roasetd malts, banana and yeast. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A very pleasant Dunkelweizen indeed.

Bottle. Banana, lemon, clove and toffee malt aroma. Cloudy dark brown-orange color with moderate head. Lemon-orange and light clove and very light malt flavor. Decent flavor but lacks the strong malt typical of the style.

Bottled. Citric lemon aroma with a hint of plastic. Cloudy, dark brown color, beige head, good lace. Light sweet, light bitter, hint of banana, hint of smoke, light nutty. Smooth and a little warming. Mouthfeel is nice but flavors are boring.
