3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jonas (4588) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - NOV 2, 2011
Tap and bottle.
Spicy, clove vanilla aroma.
Milky yellow, nice lace.
Fresh, citrus, on vanilla and banana, light allspice.
The bottled version seemed to have more character and have fuller fruit flavors - the fancy bottle conditioning rooms they showed us seem to work ;-)
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JorisPPattyn (6715) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 10, 2011
Draught Huge, very dense & fine yellowish head over hazy pale golden-greenish beer. Cloves, bananaester, bit sulphury - if volatile, that. Rather sweetish, fresh-fruity flavour, less cloves in the taste. Quite wheat-slick, well-carbonated nonwithstanding the visual absence. OK, very young, maybe from there the sulphury character.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, GERMANY - AUG 8, 2009
(bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a non-persistent, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly yeasty wheat-malty aroma with distinctive banana-fruity notes, accompanied by shades of cloves. Sweet and slightly tart fruity flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Wheat-malty and banana-fruity taste with notes of citrus and pineapples; moderately sweet and fruity finish with shy phenolic spices. Unspectacular but refreshing Weizen (15.VII.09).

Bottle (from the Bodensee!): Golden, hazy, smaller - quickly collapsing - white head; fresh fruity nose (pineapple) with a very faint clovey and yeasty background; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, soft MF, medium bodied; sourish-yeasty finish with a hint of pineapple, again. Good Weizen............
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Quack-Duck (5918) - Down South, GERMANY - FEB 3, 2009
bottle, Finkbeiner Illertissen. Cloudy pale yellow colour, large and creamy white head. Wheaty-yeasty nose. Medium-bodied, pleasantly yeasty and wheaty with shy hints of banana. Not as fruity as many other beers of the style, which is a welcome change. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A mild but very pleasant Weizen.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 kappldav123 (3282) - Markkleeberg, GERMANY - JAN 13, 2008
The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Fine and creamy foam. Tastey fruity, a little bit like banana. The finish is a little bit dry, nevertheless a good hefeweizen.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - JAN 29, 2006
Bottled. Aroma of lime with hints of banana and vegetable. Cloudy, yellow color, white head, fair lace. Had to do my best to get it cloudy though, the yeast was sticking to the bottom of the bottle. Sweet, light bitter, nice banana, soft. Surprised by this one. All others from this brewery were way below average. This one’s nice.
