33cl, exclusive brewery, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, balanced, cloudy, small head, nice brew

From Beermania, Brux., B. Bottled, 200512. Brown with beige head. Aroma of dried fruit and malt. Flavour with caramel, spices and some roasted malt

33cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Huge gusher! Opaque, hazy, murky brown color with some yeast particles in it, small beige head. Smell malts, brown candy sugar, some weird sourness and I’m reminded of some kind of stuffing you sometimes find in a (in Dutch) bonbon / praline. Taste is fortunately not as devastating. Taste malts, some sweetness, wood, (hazel)nuts and a hint of wine. Very dry finish. Low to medium carbo, low to medium body.

Gushing bottle shared by benzai. Opague brown colour with large yeast chunks, big slightly brown head that lowers quickly. Smells wine, wood, cork, oak, brown sugar, roasty, coffee, chocolate. Tastes like chocolate milk with some green twigs, very strong hazelnut taste, which i don’t like. Very strong carbo, medium body.

Bottle. Hazy brown color, medium white head. Aroma of brown bread, raisins, summer fruit. Taste is toasted caramel, plums, raisins. Not bad.

Bottle (33 cl) from beerplanet.be. Clear amber, medium off-white head. Earthy and dusty malt aroma, some notes of strawberry and tobacco. Meidum bodied, medium carbonation. Dry with medium bitterness.

Gusher. Can barely see through this to make out the deep, dark brown color. Huge light tan head that sounds like rice krispies as it quickly fades. Not much lacing. Yeast aroma. Big caramel malt aroma, with hints of vanilla and toast. Taste is on par with the aroma with big butterscotch notes. Hmm...A little bit of a sour aftertaste and sugary sweetness.

33cl bottle. Not sure this is an Abbey Dubbel. Ambrée, col épais beige. Arôme malt grillé, léger chocolat, fruité. En bouche, similaire, très bon profile malté avec ce côté belge en retrait et une touche de caramel. Fruit noir, sucre brun, bien grillé et chocolaté. Carbonation st bien pétillante. La levure sur la fin rajoute une pointe d’épice. Belle surprise de cette petite brasserie hennuyère.

Hazy brown color, medium beige head. Coffee and cholocate nose, medium and slightly oily body, crisp carbonisation. Dark chocolate, Belgian pralins with coffee cream inside on palate. Bitter aftertaste. B@home.

cloudy orange, smooth beige head. Aroma is flowery, anise, caramelly, bittersweey dark fruits. Flavor is yends fruity, dry, slightly bitter. For a dubbel, this one is more fresh fruity and more dry.

Bottle at home. Clear dark red/brown - white head. Amber malts, red berries, nutty, phenols, fruity, sweetness, light bitterness, light hoppy, yeasty, dark bread, caramel. Plain.
