NOSE : freshly brewed coffee, toffee, dried fruits, nuts, clove.
SIP : medium body with oily texture. Low to medium carbonation. The beer is moderately sweet on the beginning. Roasted malts develops quite burned and dry feeling. It lasts till the end with a toffee, nut and fruit background. Quite spicy. It leaves earthy residue in the aftertaste.
OVERALL : quite dry with decent body. It’s not the best one I tried but somehow compensating with alcohol content that warms a bit.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle (HBF2013, Friday)
Rich roasty coffee aroma. Sweetish, but so burnt. Smooth in palate, nice carbonation. Full in the mouth. Roasty, a little dry but no astringency. Covers 7% well - almost watery. Tons of red berries in the retronasals. Lovely roast finish. Good one. Did get some soy later, but it didn’t spoil my enjoyment at all.
