[on cask and dry-hopped at the Alibi room] Apricot and grapefruit hops aroma with some faint caramel. Hazy copper under white dots. Salty hops flavour: apricot and a little grapefruit. Weak, spicy malt. Medium body, low carbonation, moderately bitter finish.

Lemon and lime citrus notes along with some floral character in the nose. Hazy golden body is surprisingly pale but topped by a generous and fine bubbled long lasting white head that coats the sides of the glass with lacing. Prominent bitterness that matches the sweet malts with floral and citrus flavours notable in the long finish. Less caramel than many versions make this a bit lighter feeling and definitely very quaffable. Medium light body with moderate to strong, lightly prickly carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub.

Hazy golden color. The hop aroma is light but decent. It has a sweetish malt flavor, with quite strong hopping, not very aromatic, and actually a bit coarse at the end (too long hop infusion?). More a Golden Ale than an IPA, and a disturbing final. Drinkable.

Winter/autumn seasonal. Dark copper colour - very bright like all TC beers. Slightly caramel-tinged head. Slightly herbal hops accent an aroma dominated by crystal malts and caramelly notes. Chewy malt palate - largely crystal - is earthy and balanced by resiny hops. Style Police Ruling: Amber Ale.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2004 Amber colour beer with a thick white nitro head. Very low aroma because of this, light caramel and toffee aroma with UK spicy hops. Very tasty though, spicy, woodsy hoppiness with the faintest touch of cherry fruit. Nicely bitter finish. Good body as well. I wish they’d get it off the nitro to brighten up the aroma a bit. Alias: Avalon Indian Arm IPA November 5, 2004 On cask at Dix. Dark amber coloured beer with a thin white head. Caramel malt and fruity aroma, some strawberry and spicy UK-style hopping. Flavour is fruity up front followed by spicy/earthy hops and a nice bitter finish. I’d like to see more of these spicy UK style IPAs in Vancouver Aroma 7/10 Appearance 3/5 Flavor 7/10 Palate 3/5 Overall 14/20

Nitro Tap: Gorgeous deep amber, creamy beige head.Light malt hop nose.Light malt start, medium strength lasting hop finish. Great lace.Slightly underhopped, but maybe because I have become accustomed to the Imperials

Golden-orange colour. Citrusy hop aroma and flavour. The hop flavours aren't really there in full force, though. It has a dry, bitter, earthy middle with a malt finish.
