COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for the 54 Colorado peaks which tower over 14,000 feet in elevation, our session beer is a spectacular copper hued beauty. The treatment of our water to simulate English hard water and the blending of several specialty malts and hops produce a delicate balance between aromatic maltiness and herbal hops.

Pours copper with white head. Flavor is bready with some pine, citrus and honey. Finishes bitter as it should. Just ok for me.

Bottle. Aroma is fruity and semi-sweet. Body is orange-amber, head is off-white small and creamy. Smooth hoppy flavor, refreshing.

Bottle from Davis Coop. Cheers to Avery for treating the water to make this one more authentic. Unfortunately, it only showed moderately in the flavor. The malts were clear and lightly bitter, but the palate was a bit off. It was pretty good.

BMan1113VR (6145) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 28, 2008
Bottle. Pours with a medium sized off-white head and a clear full golden body. Good lacing left by the head with fair retention. Aroma is light citrus hops, some spices, and a bit bready. Typical Avery malt bill. Taste is very bready and biscuity with a bit of fruits and hop bite. Actually it is fairly high in hops for the style. A bit of astringent malt finish to go along with the floral hop bitterness. Sweetish mid-taste. Pretty drinkable, but not super exciting. A bit too highly carbonated for what I was looking for. Sharp bubbles.

troopie (1557) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - DEC 27, 2008
Bottle. Poured amber gold with thick lasting white head. Much lacing. Floral aroma of hops and a bit of yeastiness. Thin hop body with little malt and a little bread. Not much finish, a little more hop and that was all

Coppery color with a thin white head. Malty with a slight touch of soapy, tangy hops. Bit of bready yeast in there. Lightly bitter hops finish. Good.

Moderate malt and sweet caramel aroma. Clear orange color with a small white head. Mild sweet beginning with a lightly bitter finish.

malrubius (1307) - Valley Stream, New York, USA - DEC 20, 2008
12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Hazy caramel color with lasting head and lace. Orange biscuit aroma. Biscuity nutty fruity orangy malt with medium hop bittereness and some flowery hop flavor. Medium-light body and medium carbo. Good enough to match a sandwich.
