COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for the 54 Colorado peaks which tower over 14,000 feet in elevation, our session beer is a spectacular copper hued beauty. The treatment of our water to simulate English hard water and the blending of several specialty malts and hops produce a delicate balance between aromatic maltiness and herbal hops.

12 oz bottle sampled thanks to xnoxhatex. Pours a clear orange with an off white head. Malty orange citrus nose some biscuitty notes and a creaminess. Fruity orange, cigtrus, sweet flavors but drying out in the finish. Decent.

Very nice, malty ale, although not exactly a bitter in my book. Pleasant maltiness, Sweet on the nose. Slightly soapy, missing the expected bitterness that I was looking for.

July 5, 2007; 12 oz. bottle. A fine ESB. Cloudy in appearance. Full-bodied & flavorful for the style. Not in the same league as Fullers, but a very good effort from a way-better-than-average brewery. The $9.99 price tag (before deposit) on a six-pack of this (@ Kraig’s Kegs, Sherrill, NY) was rather repulsive, though, as the beer is not THAT good.

Bottle. Light aroma with notes of hops. Balanced light body with a light bitter palate. Smooth and balance. Nice beer.

[bottle] Orange colour with a slight haze. Dense head leaving a fine lace work. Fruity apricot aroma with notes of toffee. Lots of hops in the flavour with some notes of toffee and raisins. A bit thin and unbalanced though.

12oz bottle. Aroma: Light biscuity malt, sulfur, floral/herbal hops, a touch of green apple. Appearance: Light orange in color and slightly hazed. Off-white head was medium and foamy with decent retention. Fair lacing. Flavor: Biscuity and light grainy maltiness, strong sulfury note, Nice floral/herbal hoppiness with a bit of earthiness. Medium-low bitternees and a medium-dry finish. Palate: Medium-light bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: Not terrible, but not good either. I like some sulfur/mineral tones in an ESB, but this one was over the top with sulfur.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2007 Pours a mildly cloudy amber with a thin island of foam in the middle. Caramel and biscuit malts on the nose, along with a mild pleasant hop aroma. Refreshing taste, a mild hop presence in the background, but taste is mostly a light toasty bread flavor with a mild hop finish. Not among my favorite bitters, but still a quality drinkable one.
