COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for the 54 Colorado peaks which tower over 14,000 feet in elevation, our session beer is a spectacular copper hued beauty. The treatment of our water to simulate English hard water and the blending of several specialty malts and hops produce a delicate balance between aromatic maltiness and herbal hops.

Bottle) Pours light cloudy, deep orange to red. Nutty, hoppy grapefruity aroma with a light floweryness and maybe some fruityness. Hoppy flavour with a light rasiny, bitter touch. Pretty soft mouthfeel. Light, medium malty body. Ok.

12 oz Bottle-poured a copper color w/a large foamy head-seemed kind of large for an ESB. Floral hopped aroma. Wet, bitter hop flavor, not fresh or floral. Kind of bland. Bitter, burnt, metalic malt finish. Too one dimentional, I know it’s an ESB & it’s supposed to be bitter but it needed some fresh hop flavor on the front end to balance out the bitter malt finish. This beer got close, but didn’t deliver the goods-as much as I wanted it to!

Clear orange with a large, foamy head. Fair lacing. Aroma is citrus and earth hops, and caramel malt. Taste tends to accentuate the hops. Bitter and slightly metallic finish.

Light golden color with a nice aroma of floral hops with caramel malts. Taste is pleasant, with a nice hop/malt balance that is just sweet and bitter enough. A bit on the average side, but a quality ESB nonetheless.

Bottle; pours a slightly cloudy golden honey color with a frothy off-white head that dissipates down to a thin layer of foam; good lacing. Nice floral hoppy aroma of citrus, pine and a touch of caramel. A bitter hops bite throughout the taste that lingers just a touch. There’s a bit of a malty taste in the middle that seems to try to come through, but ends up being a bit distracting and gets easily drowned out in all the bitter hops. Overall not put togeher too well.

Clear light amber pour, diminishing off white head. Not really any lacing. Very hoppy aroma, malt profile seems a little too sweet. Taste confirms this, hops throttling the palate and caramel malt lagging far behind. An ESB only in the loosest sense of the term. I find myself totally disagreeing with the description on the bottle here. This beer is too one dimensional and overzealous with the hops. I’d prefer their IPA as my Avery session beer of choice. Aroma is nice enough, but it’s only mildly drinkable, rough around the edges. Bring back the malt, Adam.

12 oz bottle from Total Wine. Pours a cloudy amber/copper color with a minimal head. Light aroma of hops and some herbal tones. Taste is nice, easy drinking. Me like it.

Pours a pale, lightly hazy copper with a persistent, dense ivory head. Sheeting lace on the glass. Smells of bitter herbal hops. Taste is much like the smell, lots of herbal, bitter hops. Malt profile is almost undetectable. Mouth is thin. Hops linger in the aftertaste. This is OK but very heavy handed with the hops and very one-dimensional.
