Commercial Description:
Named for the 54 Colorado peaks which tower over 14,000 feet in elevation, our session beer is a spectacular copper hued beauty. The treatment of our water to simulate English hard water and the blending of several specialty malts and hops produce a delicate balance between aromatic maltiness and herbal hops.
OG: 1.048
IBU's: 37

Bottle. Pours cloudy light amber with a thin but lacy head that descends to a ring of foam. Aroma of herbal hops and caramel. Light body, a little watery, with medium carbonation. Lightly sweet taste of caramel and fig, with a crisp floral finish.

In short: Crusty pie and a ton of leafy English hops, this a crisp and fresh boosted ESB. Tasty and underrated (tap version at least)
How: Tap at Ginger Man NYC
The look: Clear copper body topped y a long lasting medium off-white head
In long: Malt contribution is rich crisp caramel, brown sugar somewhat reminiscent of a crusty sugar pie dipped in caramel. Then comes a ton of leafy hops with a dry tree leaves and tea flavour. This is a tasty beer. I haven’t had the bottle but I find the tap very well brewed and above all there was that freshness sensation that cannot be put into words but raises the score nonetheless. Like a typical ESB only this one is on steroids and pushes the style limit. Underrated tasty session brew, maybe it loses its fresh crisp character when bottled. If you didn’t like the bottle give a try to the tap, you won’t regret it, unless of course you don’t like it on tap either, in which case you will regret it, either way I’m right.

12oz. bottle. Predominantly malty aroma, sweet, toasty, honeyish and grainy, along with lighter notes of herbal, leafy hop and rather distinctive fruity ale yeast tones. Clear light amber color with a fine, subsiding head and pretty good lacing. Flavor is similarly malt-driven, more mild, pleasant toasty sweetness, but seeing a nice balance with the spicy, herbal, citric, easy-going hop bitterness and flavor, and the fruity, lightly doughy yeast touches. Moderate level of effervescence to be found, body is light-medium. It had been a very long time since I last tried this. It’s also interesting in that this is very close to what I remember this stuff tasting like over a decade ago when I did have it more regularly. It’s rare that any beer is like I remember from those days. But this is still a very drinkable and tasty ESB, and pretty enjoyable overall.

pours a medium copper with a light off white head. Aroma is nice. Malty caramel and rolled oat, with a floral hop back end. Flavour is bitter herbal hop with a medium sweet maltiness.

Aroma is very nice with a flora hop aroma. Appearance is golden with a white rapidly diminishing head. Flavor is nice and bitter but with a decent malt backbone. Slightly light in the palate however.

Amber pour, wispy white head. Malty nose with some floral hops. For me, not enough hops, but it is a very drinkanble refreshing brew.
