bitbucket (1471), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours cloudy light amber with a thin but lacy head that descends to a ring of foam. Aroma of herbal hops and caramel. Light body, a little watery, with medium carbonation. Lightly sweet taste of caramel and fig, with a crisp floral finish. ChainGangGuy (1444), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jul 13, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, effervescent, copper body with a small, glass-coating, white head.
Smell: Fairly mild aroma smelling of dry, biscuity malts, floral hops, and just a hint of caramel.
Taste: Malts tasting of dry-old biscuits with an exceedingly light touch of caramel sweetness. Floral hoppiness, even some citrus. Smooth, medium-low bitterness. Sip of spring water on the tail end. Light bitterness on the clean finish.
Mouthfeel: Just barely makes it to medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: About average for an American-born ESB which leaves it somewhat forgettable. afireinside96 (330), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 8, 2008 12oz bottle served in an English pint glass. Pours light amber in color with a foamy white head. Smells of dough, grass, and nuts. Decent nutty, grassy flavor. A solid ESB. timsilvia32 (91), born in Michigan, North Carolina, USA Jul 6, 2008 For and ESB not much going on. Pours a nice copper, not much head. Has a nice hop aroma, but it doesn’t really come through in the taste. Very drinkable. For those that enjoy beer, this basically sums it up: My girlfriend who prefers miller light thought it was drinkable. Guinness4Duff (408), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Jun 29, 2008 Bottle. Copper pour with a big off white head. Nice hop aroma, citrusy and spicy. Has a dry bitter flavor, not alot going on, just a clean hoppy taste. Not bad.
