Fairly balanced aroma with plenty of caramel malts to go with the citrusy hops. Medium to full-bodied. Taste leans much more toward the malty side. Lots of sweet caramel with just a bit of hoppiness at the very end to keep things from being completely one-sided. Solid, but not too memorable. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Drunk on election night ’08. Golden coloured with a very thick white head. Aroma is lightly spicy and a little bit orangey. Soft cologne aroma as well. There is a touch of a ketone-like aroma that is quite unusual as well. Flavour has a soft bit of mango and orange peel as well. Lightly peppery and spicy. It’s definitely on the sweeter side of the IIPA style, but it works pretty well nonetheless. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Definitely an over the top American ale, lots of malt, lots of hops, just all thrown in together. Not much balance. Tries for complexity but misses. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Coppery pour with a huge, sudsy white head that fades quickly. Slightly sour piney hop aroma. Flavor is sharp and tangy hops, very aggressive. Soft, subdued malt backbone. Not bad at all. BillKismet (1937), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Luminous bronze amber with just a ring of head. Delightful floral hoppiness. Like a late spring zephyr. Moderate body full of floral hoppiness punctuated with grapefruit sweetness with a prick of peach. Toasted caramel maltiness and moderate bitterness protrude into the conscious tasting experience as well. radagast83 (1298), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2008 22 oz bottle. Pours a orange color with a small head. Aroma is slightly hoppy, with a touch of malt to it. Flavor is grapefruit, flowers, with a touch of malts and a warm citrus finish. Overall it is a strange, interesting brew. beachbum25 (783), Powellville, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 23, 2008 22 oz bomber-clear orange color w/a slight off white head. Moderate hop aroma. This beer has some hops on the front end, got a little kick to it. Follows this up w/a somewhat sweet malt finish, it’s almost like an IPA, an APA, & a Belgian. It’s unique, I’ll give it that. I’m glad I tried it, but I would’tt really drink this that much, style was too confused. Either make an IPA or make a Belgian; Don’t try to do both. heemer77 (4303), Savannah, Missouri, USA

This big bad boy was made for those that like their hops and massive malt body over the top. The body was hazy dark bronze with a large khaki colored head. The aroma was strong grapefruit with some almonds. There was also some woody dryness and strawberries. The taste was woody grapefruit with some walnuts. A hot peach brandy finish was not pleasant. Bitter and woody with too much carbonation, this was too much for me.
